When I saw your post, I thought I missed something so I went on the Rockets roster to check if he was still PF. He still is....
Ok... maybe the roster says he's a PF, but yeah... he played the 3 all season last year, and in Summer league he even played the 2 spot. Even though the 2 and the 3 are pretty much interchangeable in McHale's system. That being said, I think we could see Chandler at the 4 spot more later in his career. Right now, he's better suited creating on the wings then he is getting banged around in the post. Which is why McHale played him at the 3 spot almost entirely last season. Not sure if Rockets.com shows that or not.
Watch your mouth with the insults, totally uncalled for. Are you in love with Parsons or why did you attack me like that? Clutch gene has nothing to do with basic shooting, your post has nothing to do with the topic. By your flawed logic it would make sense for every player in the NBA to develop a reliable and good percentage jump shot because of practice, but this is just not the case.
I know, but I particularly mean him, he's no good person. See his post in the Eye Disease thread: "that's why you don't trust the progressive girl". This guy is immature, aggressive and disrespectful in many of his comments.
Chuck Hayeshad been known to win three point contests gainst our "three pt shooters" of the past, and free throws...I've seen prts in CParsons game when he was given the "show" to run, he looked like he can with practice, and hard work become a solid player, I don't think all star, buthe has more potential to his game than Mike Miller, let's say. Although Miller would have shot so well in his early days, that it really didn't matter. I think he OK!
There's a video of coach Sampson working out with Parsons where he slips and basically said that Parsons is a bad shooter and that you couldn't turn those into good ones, which is valid as a general rule. I have my hopes tempered with him, his shot is awkward, it's not like Lowry who always had good form and release and only needed the numbers to gain the confidence to shoot it consistently. 36% from threes and FT% in the 70s, if he can do that then he stroke gold.

I'm a Gator/Rocket fan so I have had the pleasure of watching his game for a while and he is my fav player....parsons trains hard and has the drive to be the best player he can be. People talk about his shot a lot but like others have said, his shooting % have went up every month while in NBA...I don't see a reason why he can't continue to improve as a shooter. With the game on the line he wants the ball and isn't afraid as he showed as a rookie...I can't wait to see what the future holds for him
You aint crazy .... but him developing that shot forces defenders to play him honest rather than sag off and play him to drive. That opens up his attacking the rim and creating for others .... Ive said it before but maybe Im the crazy one .... If he can shoot a bit better and improve his handles , he can be an allstar calibur player as the rest of the tools are there.
