wow is parsons just pretending he didn't know or the coaches are so out of it that they don't tell their guys to get up and give some energy. and tell them they haven't score or have so many points on a quarter or on the half so far.

doesn't matter... the numbers overall are sound... and, evidently, that's what management down to the majority of cfans are rooting for... sound numbers... That's our main priority.... nothing more...

Like its not even a big deal when Brooks has it rolling, and shooting well, but Brooks cooled off for the whole second half, and Lin didn't even see the floor until what, 3 or 4 minutes left in the game with team in a massive hole.

Disgusting... He limits his minutes when Brooks is struggling the entire half... then hands him the bulk of the responsibility for the loss.... People actually defend this man for his COACHING....?

I didn't even know that they scored 19pts in the 2nd half too even though i watched the entire game. This team need to learn to attack the basket if you keep missing shots. DO SOMETHING!!! Draw fouls...get to the line or punch someone!! You can't rely on jump shots every single time you go down the court...great teams doesn't do that.

Didn't even realize we scored so little until the commentators mentioned it. All I knew was that we were bricking shots. Lots of them. ...almost all of them, apparently.

Agreed, i rather Bev than Brooks to backup/start over Lin.

We need to inculcate a defense mindset better after watching all the games and i think on and off our players have made effort. The problem is consistent defensive effort.

I'm wondering what things will look like with a starting 5 of
    Howard/Harden/Bev/ Casspi/ Jones

    Next 5
    Asik/Dmo/Lin/Parsons/ Brooks or Garcia

Would be interesting to see how that works out since statistically Casspi is a net + in nearly all lineups he's been in and the bench needs help in scoring.

thats a good point, mchale didnt even use that as a motivation tactic. "You guys like scoring 15 points in the second half? I don't remember us as a tanking team"

Ah, so it's not a skill or effort problem... it's a math deficiency. What a relief.

honestly....I'm was at the game and didn't realize that we only scored 19 in the 2nd half. It was weird...you can see the train wreck that's happening, but you just don't understand the damage until you hear the reports lol

When the going gets tough, we chuck threes.

    Not gonna work usually.

Yup... weird, right? I was there too and didn't really notice it until people were pointing it out on Twitter (since it was being mentioned on the broadcast).

Not that I have experience as a player, but I think in the game, players can become so focused that they essentially see the trees and not the forest. You know that the game has swung, momentum is on the other team's side, etc., but you don't know the details (such as only 19 points).

In the moment, you are just trying to make the next basket, trying to prevent the other team from making their next shot, etc.

In a sense, it doesn't matter whether the Rockets knew how many points they have scored (arguably, you could say that they shouldn't be focused on stats like that, just to win the game).

    Excellent point.

How could anyone not know they scored only 19 in the half? Don't the coaches and the players go into the locker room after each game and review how they did, before they open the door to the media? You mean McHale didn't raise hell about how bad they played? Were they just discussing which nightclub to hit?
