Smith, Faried, Ilyasova, and Young are all Power Forwards.
Tobias Harris is not better than Parsons. Sorry.
If Lebron is a Power Forward then so is Melo.
Kirilenko is better than Parsons.....if this was 2008.
Pierce won't be at the start of the season primarily because he'll be the 4th or 5th option.
I'd call Parsons and Gay about equal. Maybe a slight edge to Parsons because he isn't a complete idiot on the court and knows when to shoot and defend and when its time to play off-ball.

    The rest I agree with.

Why is Lebron James listed as a power forward?

I don't think Pierce is that up there still, I'd take Leonard and Iggy over Pierce, maybe ever Batum

Because technically he played PF last year and ESPN is stupid.

Don't see how Batum is ranked higher.

I understand that Batum is more known around the league, but c'mon.

The problem with ratings like these is that it's based on production. Production is dependent on environment. James Harden on the Thunder will produce less wins than James Harden on the Rockets. Paul George's production on a hypothetical healthy-Granger Pacers will be less productive than a Granger-less Pacers team. If the Pacers trade Granger tomorrow, George's rankings will surely go up substantially, given more usage rate.

Parsons value based on this type of metric will never be very high because he'll always have a limited role. If anything, it's possible his role shrinks next year to that of mainly shooter and defender. In that sense, 10 is fine. And George's lower-than-expected ranking is, while strange, but also understandable.

This dude doesn't really know what he's talking about, although he claims to use WARP in his "analysis" what he's doing is actually projection rather than analysis, so if Player A has 20 WARP and B has 25 WARP he can rank player A as better based on his "projections".

Personally I stopped taking his rankings seriously when he ended up with Tony Parker out of the top 10 pgs, how does that even make any lick of sense, he's saying Parker isn't even good enough to start for a third of NBA teams. Secondly, LBJ is somehow a PF while Kirilenko is an SF. Finally he has budding superstar Paul George behind 34 year old Pierce but again 30 year old Parker is out of the top 10 then he obviously knows nothing about what he's talking about.

Considering he was a 2nd round pick, I think being 10th best SF in the league is a pretty high mark. Especially when you look at many of the players drafted before him. Morris brothers, anyone?

Mostly because he has become one the league's elite perimeter defenders. He has long arms and effects more shots than Parsons is able to.

But, its also because he's been in the league longer than Parsons has and he's put up better numbers in the past than Parsons has ever put up. Batum shot 41% from three and 52% from the field in only his second year in the league, and his per 36 minute stats were much better as well as PER.

Korver and Pearce should be 1 and 2, respectively.

LeBron isn't considered a SF anymore? Is he a PF now? I know Miami plays a lot of smallball with LeBron as PG/PF, but SF is still his natural position (point forward).
