This was minutes after Florida lost in the Elite Eight against Louisville. Parsons, in the Rockets locker room before the Dallas game last night, gives some thoughts on the pro prospects for both Bradley Beal and Patric Young.

Keep in mind - Morey was at a Florida game or two this year. I don't think they can get high enough for Beal right now given where he's projected, but I'm sure they've given a strong look at Young.

Some mocks have Beal around #10... maybe if we're lucky he will drop to there and we can trade up to get him

Patric Young would be better if he wasn't on a team of guards that shoot a lot of bad shots.

Whatever mocks you looked at must be old. No way Beal lasts that long and most everyone knows it.

Maybe if the Knicks implode, we can nab Beal.

We're just lucky it's such a deep draft... if we can manage to move up into the top 10, we're bound to get somebody pretty good

If we draft Patrick Young and add to our collection of undersized power forwards I'll be furious

No....draft Robinson or Sullinger if we are going to get a young forward.

Davis or Zeller if we are going after a center.

That would be an even worse scenario if he went for center.

You know 6'9" is ideal size for a PF, right? 6'10" is very tall for a PF. 6'9" is undersized for a C but it's been done before.

Tim Duncan, Kevin Love, Chris Bosh, Pau Gasol, Dirk Nowitzki, Blake Griffin, Amare Stoudemire

These are the elite power forwards in the NBA right now, and they are all AT LEAST 6'10 and in Griffin, Stoudemire, and Bosh's case they all have great athleticism to help them play even bigger. 6'9 might be okay if you think he's gunna be like Zack Randolph or Josh Smith (he won't be) but it definitely ain't "ideal"

You can assume shoes add about 1.25"

Kevin Love is 6'7.75" without shoes nor elite athleticism
Blake Griffin is 6'8.5" without shoes

You left out some really good players:

Josh Smith is 6'7" without shoes
Carlos Boozer (yes, we hates him, but he's a good player) is 6'7.75" without shoes nor elite athleticism
Zachary Randolph is 6'7" without shoes nor much athleticism
Al Jefferson is 6'8.5" without shoes nor elite athleticism
Paul Millsap is 6'6.25" without shoes

Also, the biggest guys you mentioned, Tim Duncan, Pau Gasol, Amare Stoudemire, and Chris Bosh, have played center as often as not in their careers.

Actually we may have the ideal PF in Moteijunas. 7' and with skills and a good first step. Guess we find out next season.
