Chandler, there is a reason Cuban came to you first, not because he thought you were better than melo or bosh, he just realized they would say no, and you being a naive hussy would say yes.

I also think your Lilly white skin played a role. Cuban defended the clippers owner, Cuban has the Aryan Dirk. Coincidence? Have fun with the racist in Dallas who doesn't think you are pretty just willing to say yes to the sugar daddy with big bucks.

I've touched on this is a few past posts but Chandler really needs his agent in his ear a little more. He's gone on record a number of times with statements that clearly show he thinks he's an all star level player, one of the best in the league (or will be). The Batum comment. The shock at being left of the nation team (the first time). The comment yesterday. And didn't he say something during the Asik debacle at the beginning of last season?

Listen, I get that you have to have a huge ego in pro sports. I get that you have to have supreme confidence in yourself. But at some point reality has to step in. You were offended because the Rockets were after Lebron, Carmelo and Bosh? You thought you could be on that level as a third star? Does he really believe he has that kind of talent? He knew dang well Morey was out for a third SUPERstar. Not a third "pretty good player". If we were out courting Batum or Gay or someone I could understand Parsons feeling offended. But we were shooting for elite level guys. And he knew we had to sign someone BEFORE we matched his deal. If he didn't know that, again, the agent needs to inform him of the rules.

I never had issues with Parsons as a player. He was a good intangibles guy. A flexible glue guy with some offensive punch. But he's a hell of a lot closer to Ariza than he is Lebron as a player. He needs to realize that.

Honestly, I'm sort of offended by your best SF in the series comment and proceeding to get s***stomped by a guy currently getting paid $4 million less per year than you.

I guess it's not that big a loss when a player does most of his damage talking rather than proving it on the court.

    You changed CP. You changed.

LOL so just because he praised Morey his other comments are okay? His praise was the typical "No offense, BUT..."

"There are no hard feelings." HA.

He signed on the first day of free agency.

I'm sure he knew we had to wait to find out about Lebron, Bosh after which we would have DEFINITELY matched any offer after acquiring them. But he signed his contract early and made it a nasty one to match.

It's just business from both sides. He can't be offended with the way the Rockets "treated" (read: evaluated) him, and the Rockets can't be offended that he took the best offer.

Parsons was a starter and played a million minutes a game.

    He is what he is.

He's going to regress in Dallas trying to do more than he's capable of.

Boo? Chandler who? He's dead to me. Booing him would only stroke his ego. He's a mav now, no cause to boo. Simply ignore him and cheer for the rockets.

They underrate him because of his lack of presence in the Portland series. He kept getting lost on defense and proceeded to the position of B*tch of Batum. How do you give that 15M/Year?...I guess you gotta be Mark Cuban who with Dirk declining toward retirement is restocking his next white forward.

What you just said would be the the biggest surprise in 25+ years of history in the NBA.

A second rounder being the next Harden, being as good as a Top 3 first round pick. ;)

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>He said that. MT <a href="https://twitter.com/EdwinGutierrez">@EdwinGutierrez</a>: if people would read an entire article as opposed to a headline, don't think there would be much backlash</p>&mdash; Jonathan Feigen (@Jonathan_Feigen) <a href="https://twitter.com/Jonathan_Feigen/statuses/488928695311425537">July 15, 2014</a></blockquote>

Actually if I only read the headline I'd have no issue with what he said. It's his comments like "I'm the best recruiter in the NBA" or "Mark Cuban is the best owner" that rubbed me the wrong way.

This is not correct. The Mavs recruited Melo first, then waited until they realized they were out of the running before they started recruiting Parsons.

It's true that the Mavs didn't recruit hometown native Bosh, but if I remember correctly the Mavs already have a shooter at PF who doesn't like to bang in the paint.

Everyone expected Harden to break out, it was just a matter of when. Parsons is more of an if.

Is that your way of admitting you were wrong in saying he did not ask to be a free agent?

Morey got Harden because at least Harden had that history of exploding during two playoff series the year OKC went all the way to the finals. He dominated their San Antonio series. Parsons has no such history.

Harden, after he had breakout games during his 1st season with us, could still admit that he was a little anxious if he could the #1 guy when he came to Houston. (He did so during the Grantland interview of KD and Harden a year ago.) Parsons--he wants you to believe he is there already.

His confidence turned into cockiness. We have a saying in our country: "If you don't acknowledge the people who helped you when you were on your way up, be careful because your paths will cross again on your way down."

Everyone else passed you up; Rockets took you in the 2nd round, played you in your rookie year. The least you can do is give Morey and the organization and the fans some respect.
