some of these missed shots and turnovers are head-scratching. they're just flinging the ball out there.
I recall an interview with Morey or McHale saying that they realized at some point that for some reason, the team with Parsons would always end up winning in scrimmages.
You'd think he could have at least pretended to respond to the setup the guys doing the play by play gave him, that fellow dunking in uniform and Army boots (I'm assuming it was a vet, which is awesome!). Instead, he goes straight into his CP3 thingy. Come on, Clyde! You're a Hall of Famer. Bring at least a tiny bit of that basketball knowledge I know you have crammed into that bald noggin of yours and show it on TV, and get with the whole broadcasting gig. It's almost as if you've never done it before. Oh, wait...
well he was trying to gather the ball off a hurried pass from Smith who dug it off the ground because Harden nearly sloppily turned it over
I think he has to prove himself a little more. He certainly has the potential to be. He had some pretty alarming games (I say mostly due to it being his second year last year). I remember one where he had close to 30 points, 0 rebounds and 0 assists. I know it seems like a knee-jerk reaction but his court vision hits a wall in a way in games, it is weird. No doubt in my mind though that he will possibly be the #1 Point guard in the league in the future.
I think it's funny how the National perception of Chandler is that he is a shooter (cause he's white obviously lol) when in fact shooting is like his third best skill behind defense and rebounding, heck I think he even attacks the basket better than he shoots... So I guess I'm saying people don't realize how well rounded of a player he is.
Exactly...Parsons had zero shot coming into the league, he was even shooting sub 50% from the free throw line his rookie season. He has worked extremely hard on his jumper this past summer and it has showed, but he is definitely not a sharp shooter as everyone else believes. His strongest skills naturally come from defense (although not this year), driving to the basket, passing, rebounding, then shooting.
