Patrick Patterson would not have gotten food poisoning.

Without Parsons and Harden, I'm sure we are on the level of the magic

We're just making things even for them. It's basically Magic starters vs. Lin & Asik + bench.

Harden's nagging foot injury is starting to worry me... he really needs to rest and get it under control. We need him 100% for the playoffs.

I think food poising is code for hung over in the NBA. He went to the Florida game and probably had a few too many.

While the playoffs aren't clinched yet, it'd be wise to shut him down unless absolutely need be. "lingering" injuries are usually code for something worse than officially stated.

If we are resting Harden and Parsons, we might as well rest Lin and the other starters.

Hmm. So will the Rockets lineup look like this perhaps? Hoping AB gets in :)

    Lin/Beverley
    Anderson/Brooks
    Delfino/Garcia
    Smith/D-Mo/T-Rob
    Asik

Why exactly? Those two would have legitimate reasons to miss the game (injury and illness). It may be at home against the second worst team in the league, but winning this game is still pretty important.

Likewise. I know Harden's not a big guy, so his feet don't take the pounding of a guy like Yao Ming... but I've seen enough stress-related Rockets foot injuries to last a lifetime and make me permanently paranoid. The fact that it's still bothering him, after all this time (6 weeks or so?), definitely worries me a bit.

That said, I'm sure they've been regularly conducting x-rays and/or MRIs, so I'm guessing they understand what they're dealing with here.

Well, McHale plays Harden about 40 minutes per game, when he does have reliable backup players like Garcia and Brooks. So that foot really hasn't had any time off.

Wow, we're better without Harden, so imagine how good we are without Parsons ;)
