Parsons is getting famous off the court and he deserves it. He makes a greater effort than any other player to be really really nice to everyone he meets. Nothing wrong with that, and I think it helps the Rockets organization as a whole. It's a good thing to turn on the TV and have a Houston Rockets player talking about the team. I wish Parsons nothing but the best of luck both on and off the court.
um....have you seen his contract? he's barely getting paid comparing to other players. of course he's going to cash in as much as possible before a new contract
I think Parsons is severly overrated by clutchfans. You guys act like he's a all star most of the time. He'll never be an all star in this league.
Parsons is the most underrated player in the NBA in general IMO but I agree on clutchfans he's somehow overrated. Heck, almost all players not named Lin are overrated on here. But come on, how can you already proclaim he'll never be an all star in this league. He's an above average scorer and defender and a good 3 point shooter. Now do I think he's definitely going to make the all star game? No. While he improved greatly this year, I also attribute much of his success to Harden and Lin for creating and penetrating and being able to find Parsons for good shots. He still can't really create his own shot. Unless he learns how to do that, it's unlikely he'll be an all star. But he can still be an elite shooter and defender and if he does learn how to create for himself, you better bet he will be. But right now I'd say 30% chance
he is very marketable....so him chasing the fame is only good for us in the long run. + hes the best white player in the NBA, so he really stands out
Parsons has arguably made the most improvements of any drafted player by Morey. He played in Europe at a time when other players just sat around. He made a name for himself by hustling on D and being our best perimeter defender in year 1. In year 2, he improved his shooting by a ton and became a good all-around player. If anything, Parsons has proven that he's a dedicated hard worker.
I love CP, not only his game, but his personality. This is the kind of guy you want on a team. I would be very, very upset if the Rockets traded him. Please make a note Morey. And he can become as famous as he wants, more power to him.
Fegan is working hard to put Chandler's pretty face everywhere: a role in Dwight's Acuvue video, his own "Hair" video, a ticket to ESPYs... Fegan will probably make sure Chandler goes to Asia with Jeremy in August. Hopefully some of these exposures will lead to $$$ earning opportunities. He definitely need more than 117K twitter followers.
So what....? I would have done the same thing if I was an NBA player...!!! The guy got us Dwight Howard...Honestly, I don't care if he does p*rn in the off-season.
OK, Nostradamus. You're making that prediction after 2 seasons? Sounds good to me. Sincerely, Sam Cassell, Jermaine O'Neal, Clyde Drexler, and _______ (insert name of any one of 20+ players who had decent first 2 seasons and went on to become all-stars)
For a guy to be selected in the 38th pick averaging 15.5 PPG, 5.6 RPG in his second year and average 18.6 PPG and 6.5 RPG in his first playoff series, IMO i think the guy is underrated and the sky is the limit for him. Plus he is still on his rookie contract
If Parsons has a good year then he'll get all the fame he wants. The Rockets, if they're good, will be one of the most talked about teams in the league.

Parsons extreme value currently is almost entirely derived from the flexibility of his contract going forward for adding a third star whilst keeping him. If he was being paid $7m a year, he'd just be a quality starter.

The point is that if you read clutchfans, you would think Parsons is already an all star starter. I think he's very underrated in the NBA but waaaay overrated on clutchfans. He had ONE good playoff series (and lost) and he had ONE decent NBA season so far. If I didn't now any better, after reading clutchfans I would think the man was the second coming of Michael Jordan.
