That's really nice of you, but dude did NOT need to depart in the manner he did, with a clubbing photo in the arms of our rival owner. Classless. Good for him for going and getting paid. Bad on him for how he handled it, after we cheered on his early career. He's with a rival now, so I don't want him to have a good year. Keep his health, but I hope the Mavs stink like a dumpster.

This will be the undoing of this team. No, Parsons is not worth that poison bill contract.

But while the sky isn't falling now, they do not have the flexibility to get a major player, They just don't any more. With or without that crazy Parson contract they were done. There are not enough assets anymore to go get the top tier guys and they don't have enough cap room either.

And if they matched they at least could have hoped that Parson blows up and is worth his contract. But wait 15% trade kicker... Yeah, that was by design to make Parsons useless as a player/contract for the Rockets.

Never mind. Rockets are done as a contender. Sorry for the truth but it hurts. Heck even the GM and owner said as much. "With Parsons and his contract Rockets not Championship contender". What do think they are now?

And please reference to previous if you think the Rockets are in the mix for any of the big names. Not without trading their own superstars.

Remember, the ability to said "max" is gone. They are no more great assets to trade.

Fair well to the dreams of taking it to the finals. They may make the playoffs. Should because the 2 stars are that good. But unless what's left for supporting cast turns into gold.....

And that may still happen. But the NBA is talent driven and in all aspects the team lost talent this off season.

Yes, off season not done. But they will not sign anyone long term so you think those players will make a difference?

But Morey could pull a Bev 2.0 from Russia. Who am I kidding.

    Exactamundo.

    Happy for Chandler getting paid.

But I hope his and his new team's performance slide right into the gutter.

I knew with all his non-passing and pump faking he thought he was a superstar.

    He's wrong.

    Chandler Parson = Nicolas Batum

Batum has an 11 million dollar contract

Whatever, I am over him. He did well here and was underrated due to that contract. Now he is a max player and vastly overrated. Just a role player with no D.

I can name 5 better SF's in the West alone off the top of my head.

    Durant
    Kawhi
    Batum
    Iggy
    Gallo once he is back

I went through this list a while ago and I agree with you wholeheartedly....

People really overrate our players here.

Chandler was a nice player at times. Honestly, I wanted him to take less of a playmaking role at times...But Ariza is going to fit really well here.

I think Chandler would have to be one of the top 5 second round picks of all time to live up to this contract. On him actually being a franchise player level star, I think history is not on his side.

The mistake by Morey isn't not matching, it was not signing the extra year for less than a million because we might lose him for nothing, then losing him for nothing and not even getting that year.

I am glad he is off getting paid, I hate that it is with the mavs.. and Cuban can suck a ****.

But I am not ok with how he handled it.. I understand that Cuban probably said sign this now or its gone, so yea i would sign too. But then to club it up with him, throw everything in our face and how he was a star we didnt utilize.. and after being the START OF HIS CAREER we dont even get a 'thanks for the memories houston' tweet or letter (if Im wrong and he did do this someone please show me)

Classless. hope he flops. glad dallas stuck with that RIDICULOUS 'untradeable contract'

*Hope Dirk goes on strike for taking a paycut

That shot may be one of the reasons they didn't match.

lol Batum is better. Outplayed him as soon as he opened his mouth about being the best SF in the series

We acquired both Harden and Dwight since we let Dragic go.

So, point made by Morey already.
