I didn't know Parsons got traded. I appreciate him and his play with the rox but I won't miss the Parsons fan boys that will be gone with him.

Parsons is a very good all around player, but I think the two specific things that we clearly missed from him last night were: 1. His passing/ball movement. He's so good at creating open shots for his teammates, and getting the ball rolling. Clearly, our ball movement (or lack thereof) last night was horrible. 2. His defense.
I have terrible back problems too chandler... I got a great chiropractor that will do home appointments for relatively cheap.... after the 15 min session i am pain free
Chandler Parsons value going through the roof right now. Right now I'm thinking Pekovic type contract. 5yr/$60mil.
Parsons didn't have an earth shattering game but he just brought balance back and played good defense on Klay Thompson. He is the leader of this team and goes out there and plays his butt off game in and game out, back spasms or not.
He is vital he can cut, pass and create off the dribble.. All things we lacked when he was out which made us look so bad
Is Chandler Parsons our new SHANE BATTIER??? With better stats of course This is the interesting insight posted by OJATM on the Dreamshake forum tonight. Chandler Parsons' Return From Injury: I was reading an article by Jason Friedman back from 2007 when Daryl Morey recently got hired. It talked about the Shane Battier trade and how Battier might not stand out on the stat sheet, but whenever he's on the court the other team shoots worse, his team shoots better, they rebound better, they turn the ball over less, ect. ect. Chandler Parsons seems to be that guy, just better individually. Despite not having a standout game tonight, his presence seemed to be the key difference in the Rockets' play. It's like Mchale said earlier in the season, "Whichever team Chandler is on tends to always win". That speaks highly of Chandler and what he means as the glue for this Rockets team. http://www.thedreamshake.com/2013/1...kid-with-dominating-win-over-the-golden-state
Yeah but Shane's production at the highest came at 5-6 million a year. Parsons will get paid a lot more.
I felt bad for him today, he was doing all the right stuff and getting to the right spots and just couldn't put it in due to injury or bad luck. Still, we are a different team with him on the court.
Chandler Parsons helped Terrance Jones come alive tonight!! Coincidence that TJ's production went down the same two days Parsons was out? Don't think so. Parsons got him involved early and that paid off huge for us!!
Chandler is an offensive version of Shane. Both players seem to have this instinct, this knack for making the right play at the right time, but with Parsons it's much more often on the offensive end and with Battier it was all about team defense. The differences between the two are that 1.) from a salary perspective, good offense pays much better in the NBA than defense; and 2.) Parsons' D is not bad at all where Battier's O throughout his career was almost exclusively relegated to the open three. So in that sense Parsons is much more balanced. Hope his health keeps up. He's def a 10+ million player now.
So clear that Parsons is the biggest intangible and floor leader of the Rockets. His presence alone, even with this terrible back spasm issue, creates space. it just so happens because his basketball i.q. is through the roof, HE KNOWS WHAT TO DO WITH IT. That is either something you have, or spend many years in the league understanding. Shane does not have the offensive game and moves Chandler brings. There is not a team in the NBA that wouldn't want him, and I say lock him down because they will all come calling. Well done Chandler, well done and hats off for fighting through this very painful period and bringing your game. I know Howard gets it, and James got a good dose of humble pie seeing what a train wreak there is without him on the floor.
