Why could the Rockets think about it?

    - They still think that Lowry is after all their player with most winning impact on the team.

    - They think Lowry's PG profile fits better than Goran's at the potential role of the PG of their future contender roster -thats it, surrounded by 1 or 2 stars-. Important point.

    - They consider Lowry's current contract a big bargain, and contrary to this are scared of overpaying Dragic. Also important.

Why a s&t with Dragic could not be a possible situation? I'm asking why we have not read nothing about this at the media.

How bad is the relationship between Kyle and McHale actually?

Could we recieve similar value by trading Dragic vs offering Kyle?

Would Goran accept a sign & trade?

Considering contract values, if you told me right now we would be adding Gordon to this team I think I'd prefer Lowry.

Are you serious? Way off... 19% tops. I know you've got a reputation to uphold, but....

i used to think a Lowry trade was all but certain. Now i wonder at what point, cap-wise, the organization decides that getting McHale and Lowry together in a room to iron out their issues becomes a better alternative than trading Lowry away in order to retain a point guard who costs twice as much. I'm gonna say 40%

If we can sign-and-trade for Gordon and the Bulls don't match Asik are salary starts to get pretty high... especially if we eventually bring in Howard also.

All things considered I might rather have Lowry at the 6 or 7 mil (whatever it is) rather than Dragic at ~10.

You don't bring in Goran's brother Zoran if you are not signing Goran.

    15%?

I'm a Lowry fan. Not sure if Goran having 20 or so good games is enough to make me forget what Lowry brings to our team.

But, I think McHale would rather have Dragic.

    You sure it wasn't 21% or 23%? Or 25% as in 1-in-4?

Or maybe you really calculated it to 22 out of 100 times this would happen

Almost zero. SnT on unrestricted free agents will rarely happen in the new CBA. Whatever happens I doubt Dragic will be traded. Either he will walk to another team as a free agent and we get nothing back, or he will be re-signed and we keep him (possibly meaning Lowry traded).

    Daryl Morey sucks.
He's going to have both of them hate the Rockets and we're going to lose both. :(

Regarding this: Starting in 2013-14, teams more than $4 million above the tax level cannot receive a player in a sign-and-trade transaction.

0%, you can't sign Dragic if he knows Kyle is going to be here. It's either keep Lowry, let Dragic walk, or trade Lowry and sign Dragic.

"Neither can survive while the other lives..."

The two PGs will undergo pair annihilation if they stay on the same team. Then we'll be left with Fortson as the by-product.

Come on, Morey, convince Les of the importance of winning over collecting the best bargain assets.

Yeah, but unlike in the old CBA you don't get 'bird raises' in a sign&trade anymore. Same years and raises, as if you had sign with the other team outright.

The only reason we might be able to do a sign&trade deal would be if Dragic wants to play for a team that's over the cap or a team that hasn't enough cap room to sign Dragic to what he's looking for.

Goran is just biding his time to get a good deal. He will go where the money is.
