By your logic, there was no reason to think Hoyer was going to play as bad as he did. Until he did. Same applies.

Yep, no one said Hoyer was good. It was always that he was better than Mallet or the alternatives BOB chose, and he clearly was.

I would have been fine with Weeden starting the game because of the concussion issue and Weeden looked adequate (unlike Mallet) in the game he played

Well there was a reason to think he'd play poorly because he already got wrecked by the very same team in week one and was bad enough to get pulled even then, that said, he managed to play even worse this time around so sure, there was no reason to think he'd be THIS bad.

Of course, once it was obvious that he was playing as poorly as he was, a change should have been made, and it would have happened if BOB wasn't so close to him.

If O'Brien is still the head coach he will be starting.

Actually, he has; in fact, he's been worse. But, whatever - here's the thing: Brian Hoyer has never played a game as bad as his performance Saturday. It is literally his worst start as a pro. Even his week 1 start - while bad - wasn't even in the same stratosphere of bad as Saturday's performance.

But that's veering off topic; my only issue is that the Texans didn't have a viably better alternative than Brian Hoyer on their bench and, as a consequence, BOB wasn't going to toss aside all the work they poured into getting Hoyer ready because of 30 bad minutes. Coaches are loathe to do that. And this idea that Brandon Weeden gave them a "chance" - I really want that to sink in... Brandon Weeden. I mean, come on...

Everytime there was the option to run he threw a pass with panic. 5 concussions, 2 within a month this season. He should be scared, and fans shouldn't be put in a situation where they witness a guy get brain damage.

Either Hoyer needs to retire or the Texans cut him immediately.

Watch Mallet play, I agree with you. I would never wish that kind of brain damage on anyone

Yes. Our team, especially the defense, fought and clawed it's way into the playoffs after a very rough start which was so freaking exciting!!! Then Hoyer literally shat the bed with full blown explosive diarrhea and we are all forced to lay in it until he is replaced.
