I live in Oregon and I've seen about 12 snowflakes fall from the sky this winter. It's been in the 50's/low 60's for all of February. The Cascades are at 60% snowpack. I've worn a heavy jacket once since 12/1. It's like April here.
El Nino has flipped the weather patterns this season. Also something known as a negative Arctic Oscillation has sent arctic air down the central/eastern/southern US several times this year which has run into the El Nino moisture.

Looking forward to the snow tomorrow. Supposed to start around noon, and keep snowing till around 9pm. Can't wait! Much nicer than that 75 degree weather we had 2 days ago.
Been nice and slushy this morning in Austin. Snow has started in the northern parts of the area. This afternoon's commute should be fun.
BIG flakes here in southwest Austin too... I'd say this is the heaviest snow fall I can remember seeing in my time in Austin (7 yrs)...
Is it supposed to be like this all day in Austin? Or is it supposed to warm up and melt what we've had?
its been coming down pretty heavy for the past 30 mins at 183/290. hopefully they let us leave soon
