yes, but what talent/assets does Dallas have? Butler? Terry? Beaubois? they certainly don't have the picks. Also, would Bosh want to play center?

But it is going home to Dallas, so that's a potential big bonus or issue.

    From a talent/assets perspective, i don't think it's close..

I think so. I'm waiting for BimaThug and Carl herrerra to drop into this thread, but I think I hit on a major point with this. Which further shows Morey's absolute genius.

I swear Morey mentioned sign&trade at least 3x in that conference. I think it is the MAIN reason he wanted NYKs picks.

not just S&T, but the fact that Toronto can boost the value of the NY picks by sending Bosh to us, hence increasing the value to Toronto.

Damn it feels like Christmas today.

In your proposal Jeffries is a deadweight contract whose salary they're obligated to pay for the full season.

Mavs can also put together a package with young players and picks.

Except basing a package around Dampier is like a virtual TE. It's better than actual TE because those can't be packaged and there isn't that 25% trade rule.

    1) Bynum & Vujacic
    2) Scola & Lowry can't be included in a S&T for 3(?) months
    3) Bosh doesn't want to play in Dallas and Dampier's contract is useless unless the Mavs take salary back. I don't think the Raptors trade Hedo or Bargnani.

I think we're sitting pretty though with the picks, Battier, Jeffries, Brooks, and Budinger.

Mavs could also work it so they take back Marcus Banks.

Lakers would be stupid to trade Bynum for Bosh.

Who is going to be their Center...Gasol? How is he going to guard Yao or Dwight when it comes to playoff time? He isn't, he's going to get owned. Lakers have a dynasty there, as long as they keep improving their role players when their production drops off...oh and Kobe and Gasol don't start to decline or something.

This plan of yours would fail miserably if New York actually signs Wade and Lebron, in fact this whole trade kind of fails.

They would be a winning team and guess what, our picks wouldn't look too flash then.

    but thats a big IF

Very nice discussion bro, but when I looked at the Lineup and the Bensh players I really don't think our Bench will be good if Lowry in the Starting lineup, Plus I don't see Morey Trading Brooks, maybe we can send Scola, Lowry, and the #1 pick from Ny to the raptors for Bosh and Calderon. so the starting lineup would be

    Brooks/Calderon
    Martin/Budinger
    Ariza/Battier
    Bosh/Anderson
    Yao/Armstrong/Hayes

I think that's a solid lineup have the ability to contend. wat u guys think ?

^Yeah, I forgot they can take back expiring contracts as well. Still, Bosh already said he doesn't want to play in Dallas.

Calderon is one of the worst defenders at PG and Lowry is one of the best...I'd rather have Lowry and Calderon than Brooks and Jose.

I agree that Dallas could provide financial relief. But if Toronto's dealing Bosh, they're rebuilding and the priority is cheap/young talent and picks. The bad contracts slide off during the rebuild.

Beaubois could become quite attractive, but I keep going back to those Ny picks.

what if Lebron re-signs with CLE and Wade re-ups with Miami before Bosh decides .... We are unstoppable then. Those Ny picks are gold. hell, they're platinum

I get the feeling Rocks might need to package those NY picks to get the most value they can on draft night/before free agency starts.

Be leary of Chris Paul. His recent surgery involved the removal of a portion of his meniscus. That's the method currently used to treat the type of knee injury he had, because it can be performed by scope and the rehab time is minimal. The problem is that they're starting to see it can lead to the need for microfracture surgery down the line, to replace the cartilage that was removed. And that's still a pretty iffy scenario for someone whose game is built around his quickness.

I regret to inform you that you are an idiot.

Even if Wade and lebron sign with the Knicks, we land Hill and Ny's 2012 late first round pick. More than adequate for taking on Jeffries for a year. And that's the worst case scenario.

Our best case is us taking on Jeffries and getting Hill, 2011 #2 pick and 2012#6 pick.

Again, i regret to inform you that you are an idiot.

    Sounds bad :(

The guy is one of my favorite players though. I hope he doesn't fall into Tmac territory, hope he is rehabbing his *** off.
