He's shown what he can do for a team. Most of you guys don't realize everything he brings to the table. He has been lauded here as a tremendous difference maker on a team. Morey knows it. Ademan and McHale know it. And most every coach in the NBA knows it. And some of us members know it.

So, what's the big deal with Lowry stating the obvious? Dude needs to start. If he doesn't start, he's just being wasted so he should be traded.

As far as not getting along with McHale, well, quite a few of us here are disappointed that McHale DID NOT retain Adelman's offense. Because we can see the efficiency of Adelman's offense and Adelman had players WANTING to play in his offense.

And honestly, if McHale has an offensive system, he's going to have to adjust it for this team to win. You can't expect Goran to run around dribbling the ball all over the floor for 18 seconds of the shot clock and create you offense for 40 minutes a game. Goran played great, proved he was a legit player. But that's not championship winning basketball. I almost got the feeling watching these guys this season that McHale didn't want them running any Adelman plays just because McHale wanted them to buy him. If I'm wrong on that, then I'm wrong. But it sure appeared to me that when they ran a backdoor screen and cut and got an easy one that McHale didn't like it.

While I'm on this rant.....Kevin Martin. Dude is the same player he was 2 years ago. He hasn't all of a sudden gotten worse. Even with the change in rules and him not getting the foul calls he used to get, he still draws plenty of foul calls, still gets to the FT line, and still one of the 5-7 most efficient scoring shooting guards in the league, not to mention one of the top 20 most efficient scorers in the entire league. Dude gets yanked in and out of the lineup. They got him out there playing alongside Chase at the start of the season and everybody is griping because he looks terrible defensively. McHale doesn't like his defense, blah, blah, blah. Well, guess what? Defense isn't or will ever be his strong point. Martin's strength is he is very, very efficient and productive with offensive touches, one of the most efficient and productive players in the NBA with offensive touches.

So, how do you make the best use of his talent and the strength of his skillset??? You offset his weakness by surrounding him with good defenders on either side of him. McHale kept jacking around, yanking Martin, jacking around with rotations, until he finally got down to Parsons and "discoverred" that Parsons should be starting and playing major minutes. So, then he overdoes it, yanks Martin in and out, runs him off the bench, Martin gets dinged, no mercy, play on til your arm falls off son. You know, I'm sorry, there's a lot to question about McHale.

One characteristic that great leaders share is when they take on a new challenge, they don't walk through the door turning everything topsy turvy. They come in, evaluate what is good, what is working, and they KEEP that and then they figure out what is not working and they start changing that. Under Adelman, we had one of the top offenses in the NBA, a thing of beauty to watch, a highly oiled efficient scoring machine with players scoring, at will sometimes, all over the court. We were a threat from everywhere. And the defenses couldn't stop us because the minute they shut down something, then something else opened up and we went running through the door like ants to sugar cubes. But, all that stopped, I mean flat-out stopped, when this season started. Here it is, a lockout shortened season, no training camp. What should you do in that situation??? GO OUT AND RUN YOUR STUFF THAT WORKED SO WELL LAST YEAR!!!!!

Now, if it was just Lowry having problems with the coach, that's one thing. But it's not. It's multiple guys. And if you will notice, all of our veteran guys' games fell off this season....simultaneously. Lowry looked good early, running the helter skelter and piling up numbers like Goran piled up at the end of the season, but we had no high post offense, no real offensive system other then big guys running around setting picks for little guys to dribble around and either shoot or throw the ball to some other player out of their offensive comfort zone or force some sort of shot, and Lowry and Goran both had to expend way too much effort to be able to last and be efficient long-term.

Lowry, Martin, Scola....all of them fell off the table this year. Why? Did they just lose it in one season?? Nope. And don't even tell me they all got old. Lowry just turned 26, Martin just turned 29, and Scola just turned 32. They are all in their physical primes!!! There are two reasons: Different coach, different system. That's what happened. Why didn't Lowry have a problem with Adelman? Hey, we went to the lottery Adelman's last year too. The results weren't any different. And Lowry was giving the ball up a whole lot more to Chuck in the high post and not getting nearly the touches and opportunities to score and dish that he was getting under McHale. Why wasn't Lowry upset about Adelman? And why was Lowry upset along with the WHOLE TEAM when we let Adelman walk??????

So, now Martin's trade value is in the trash can. We won't get what we could get out of him in trade. And he'll undoubtedly go somewhere else and throw in about 22 a game shooting 45/42/85. And we're gonna be stuck trying to figure out if the next young fella is gonna turn into a good player.

And Adelman is in Minny building another offensive juggernaut.

Lowry and Martin are players that want to play winning basketball, that want to be a part of a winning tradition being built. They are team players, guys, not selfish punks. Lowry gave his heart and soul to this organization. Martin gave us everything he could. I don't blame them for wanting out. And you shouldn't either.
