Would you still feel like that if we had Evan Mobley?

yes, Cade is my favorite player in this draft and the guy I enjoy watching the most

I still think he can be the best player in this draft…he has it all

I love the versatile, skilled perimeter player that can shoot and has high BBIQ prototype

I wouldn’t say **** about missing Cade if we drafted any of Mobley/Barnes/Franz/Kuminga

Cade hasn’t played that well, he’s shown flashes, and his defense, size and passing skills give a much bigger confidence in comp to Green, but he’s also having some really hard lows with bricking like a maniac, turning it over too much. Both Sengun and JC have legitimately been more consistent positive impact players then Cade so far.

Hell, Ayo Dosunmo looks like he might be a baller too, potentially one of those 2nd rd all star players. Reminder that our MVP was a mid 2nd, MVP before him was a non lotto pick. Sometimes the draft surprises you

Cade is averaging 17/6/4 in his last fifteen games on around -3 rTS%. Tatum with more playmaking looks like it was the right comp.

So basically he’ll be a top 15 guy in two years.

A redraft after half a season.

    This is where we've gotten.

I know this is dumb and pointless and that hindsight is 20/20, but I’m doing it anyways just for fun. No re-draft in history would ever go the way the original draft went. But…

How did so many teams miss on Herb Jones and Ayo Dosunmu? I’ve been keeping a close eye on both since early December when I first noticed their names trending, but both had arguably their best games last night. Both AMAZING 2nd round picks that lasted until 35 and 38. I wonder if age played a factor. Herb is 23 and Ayo is 22. Even the Pelicans passed Jones up in the 1st round and went with Tre Murphy. Drafting is such an inexact science. I’m sure fans feel like this every year, but how many teams are wishing they could hop in a time machine and get a do-over?

Would love to have either or both those guys. Josh Christopher would also go much higher so we did identify 1 underrated talent at least. Our current 4 could still all pan out and we have what I hope is a steal in Daishen Nix who I think would be a 1st round pick in this upcoming draft so I’m not down on our young guys at all. They were all 19 when the season started after all and don’t have the experience of Jones and Dosunmu so this draft could still wind up being amazing, but Mobley as the top pick and then picking any 3 out of Sengun, Christopher, Jones, and Dosunmu would’ve for this year at least been super fun to watch.

Honestly, just switching out Herb Jones for Garuba would even make me happy.
