^^ Superb allround player with leadership skills and absolute determination and will to get better every day, great kid. You usually can't go wrong with a guy that has no real weakness and works his azz off to be a star.
He'll be a rich man's Matt Barnes. Solid player, but not top-5 worthy, IMO. I'd much rather go with Brad Beal or Cody Zeller.
I think I'd take chandler parsons over kidd-gilcrest. Part of the reason is that I can't project him as a player. Gerald Wallace is good good player, but he ain't a star. I can't see him being a ron artest, he's kind has moves like Alex English, but he isn't close to having Alex's scoring ability. I honestly see him as a Chris Douglas-Roberts type, or a Quincy Pondexter. My problem with him is that I'd rather have a Battier type for a prototypical defender (which he isn't) and I'd rather have a Kevin Martin than him on the offensive side. He is a tweener in the worst possible sense. That is why he is compared to Gerald Wallace, which is certainly his ceiling.
I like my sf's to have length and athletic-ability, or not that; they have to be able to shoot the rock. I don't even see him being a gordon heyward, who I think is a fantastic player. I'm sorry, I just don't see the appeal of kidd-gilcrest. hope im proven wrong, i suppose.
The only one, imo, with true superstar potential in the top 5 is Thomas Robinson. He has almost single-handedly led the Jayhawks to this point. He may be the second coming of Dwight Howard.
I'm a gator fan so I would love to keep parsons, how about Lowry and a first? Bring back dragic and have lull backup...by the way I like Lowry but his trade value best on team
no. I really don't get the love for Beal around here. He's good, but I don't see him being a superstar, much less and all star. I would honestly rather have Lamb. I definitely might consider doing that deal for him.
You don't draft a guy top 5 because he's "one of the best finisher in college basketball". Most any player between 6'6" to 6'10" with athleticism and a willingness to bang their body can be labeled "a good finisher". That does not make a stud basketball player. And if that is what you notice about a player and he has no other finely honed skill that distinguishes his game then he has high bust potential. Fortunately for MKG, he's got a little more going than just being a good finisher. However, he is a risk because he hasn't distinguished himself on a personal level, only as a complementary member of a team. Which although good, it could mean he is nothing more than another Wilson Chandler.
It's not a bad thing. It's just whenever they draft someone, they are hoping to hit on the next Kobe or Durant. Getting Wiison Chandler would be a disappointment that high in the draft. Not a bust, though.
Beal was Gatorade player of the year out of high school (national award), and mr show me basketball (Missouri top player)...avg 18 a game to help lead USA under 17 team to fiba championship.. In college he has shown explosiveness and ability to get to basket quickly and draw fouls (2nd in sec)..rebounding 6.7 (for a guard!) is a excellent defender..his shooting percent started off not that great but improved to 45% and if you see his form you will see the kind of potential he has as a shooter! During the tournament he led the gators to elite 8 while averaging 16+ pts and 8+ Reb a game
Gordon Hayward is not that good man... WHAT do you mean FANTASTIC stop overating these guys Gilchrist is way better that Gordan Hayward.. SMH
ok... I'm talking about who I think will be the better overall player in the NBA. Plenty of guys have been great during high school and college and suck in the NBA. Not saying Beal is gonna be a bust, just don't think he will be as good as everyone thinks.
I got you...although I feel total opposite, seriously got high hopes for him...he is a real classy player who listens to coaches and cares bout his teammates....I seriously would build a team around him, that's how i feel bout his game and personality
I don't know what lowry would bring in a trade. Probably not what you think he'd bring. Lowry reminds me of Jameer Nelson. A solid player. He wont kill you at the position, but he isn't going to give you a significant advantage, either. Just a decent rotational player. So I doubt you'd get a lottery pick for him as most developing teams don't want average players at point guard, preferring instead to develop younger talent.
