What I was thinking.... 4 strikes me as a move for MKG, to be honest. But if MKG went 2 and Beal 3, then you've got Thomas Robinson, Andre Drummond and Harrison Barnes.

They could certainly use a guy like Martin, Morris, and possibly Patterson or Scola.

Do they value any of those guys enough, combined with a combination of our picks, to hand over #4?

As it stands, #4 figures to be a SF decision between MKG and Barnes. How highly do they think of them as a piece next to Irving?

I don't think there's much of a chance...but the Cavs could potentially like the idea of flipping one pick into two players (Morris and Patterson?) and two picks, giving them an opportunity to fill numerous roster holes immediately.

And Stephen A. Smith does claim to be a close personal friend of everyone he talks about after all.

Wrong thread ... but hey, who gives a s**t what DH12 says. He's just a scary chicken. Doesn't want to go to Houston because of Hakeem, doesn't want to go to the Lakers because of Shaq, ... own legacy, right?

Go to Milwaukee then. Sounds like an empty excuse or a weak constitution. He wants the bar set low? Wha?

I'm not a Kobe fan but imagine him saying "I didn't wanna go to LA because of West & Magic". Instead his goal was to be better than all of them.

I don't yell at my friends. Friends hug and exchange thoughtful words. Stephen A is a balls omelet.

Maybe he should just retire from the NBA... As its been around far far longer than he's been, before he ever came into the world... And start HIS OWN Basketball league: The DBA... Dwight Basketball Association... So therefore, he wouldn't have to live up to anybody but himself...

I really enjoyed this comment. Also, in terms of moving up for the pick, would Kmart +14+18 do the job or would that be too much/not leave us enough for another top 10?

If for nothing else, talking to the Cavs creates leverage in trade talks with the Kings.

I agree that I don't think Drummond is the target.

Despite everything pointing to how risky a decision it is, the goal continues to appear to be Dwight. With backup of using high picks to targets plan b's, c's if Dwight doesn't materialize - Josh Smith, whomever.

That said, IF the target was Drummond, I don't see how it would change if they were talking to the Cavs about #4 or the Kings about #5. If you like a guy, and he is going to go somewhere in a range, you need to trade within that range. if all you can do is trade to the top of that range, then you still draft your guy there.
