Not necessarily. About a week before the draft last year, one analyst said he heard the Rockets may be considering trying to trade up for Eddie Griffin. For the most part, leaks are unconfirmed and misleading, but there have been a couple of instances in the past where there has been substantial information.

I agree with Heyp, if in fact butler is a tweener. We already have 4 or five of those on the team.

But, Butler's body is like a gladiators. He's pretty buff. I think he will be successful.

Williams is as good as gone next season and if we have to look to Langhi for leadership we're in deep puppy poo!

Borchardt to me seems like a skinny Collier!!! Why wouldn't Rudy take this guy with our 5th overall pick, judging by his previous drafts. That would really blow, being that great talent like Woods, Butler, Gooden, and Wilcox on the board.

    GET BUTLER.

If he is still on the board at 5, NAB HIM. He can score in globs, is a good ballhandler, a good defender, a good rebounder, and a good passer. I've seen like, 12 Huskie games this year and believe me, he is NBA material.

This guy's mentality is rock-solid. We would not have to worry about psychological self-doubts or a lack of confidence. If you saw him play in the Tourney you know what I'm talking about. What was it, 12-12 freebies against So. Ill. in the Sweet Sixteen? He's also had a 29-point, 15-rebound game this year. He's averaged a solid 20 and 8 this year, and he's been extremely consistant. He's good...AND he's mentally tough. That, my friends, is the entire package.

I still would like to see the Rockets make a run at Odom and use the number 15 on the best player availiable. Maybe someone like Amare or Marcus would still be around. The thing about the center from stanford, he thought Marcus was really strong, wait till he plays against some real nba players.

the best pick for the rock's might come in the second round...Casey Jacobson. Scouting reports say he has a dead accurate 30ft jump shot. 30ft!!! drop Langhi and add this guy. trade your Miami pick to Charlotte and bring Bullard back home and i can see our assists rising.

Just for respectability's sake, here's what I had to say about Collier the week they drafted him:

    (link)

I don't think I'm talking up Collier's athletecism there. Collier was, and is a bad athlete. Anybody with any sence who's seen Borchardt knows he's athletic. Not great lateral/horizontal quickess, but he is long, lean, and gets up quick. He will be a rebounder, shotblocker, and low post defender in the NBA.

Butler reminds me a bit, strength-and-weaknesswise of Michael Dickerson. I could really see him as a guy the Rockets like and go for.
