My mistake. At 8.3 the contract is not so bad--i could see why NY would have interest since they shouldn't care about the 15 mil balloon payment.

But if you think that Bargnani/Shumpert/Hardaway is better than Lin/Asik, you would make a good Knicks fan. Because fans of every other team laugh at the idea that Bargnani is "stretch 4."

Only big issue I see with this is the savings from Okafor isn't as big a deal to the Knicks as it would be to every other team. They get their pick back in this, get Lin, and save a ton of money this year and next.

Suns are basically shopping this exact deal for Pau, Asik, etc. already, but here they need to also take Prignoni on or could take two of the minimum salary expirings to make it work. Not much of a commitment.

Rockets get a replacement for Asik that doesn't commit them past 2015, move up about 20 spots in the 2014 draft, and wing players it wants.

How so? Lin only got one offer when he became a FA. That was from the Rockets. He did not get an offer from the Knicks. Lin should be the one who's upset at Dolan.

Dolan upset Lin, so he wont be back in NY. Poor Lin if that ever happen. Business at its worst, treating human commodities like casino chips. He must be feeling crap back to hell, with jealous melo, back stabbing teammate like tyson n JR, the owner that sides with melo n lowballed him, also his best buddies, landry n steve are not around.
