Here's a cool little way for the Knicks to get Lin:

Knicks send Felton and Jeremy Tyler to Philly, Udrih to Wizards, Shumpert to us.

We send Lin and Brewer to Knicks, the rest of our cash ($1.48 mil) and the Knicks 2014 second rounder to Philly. Philly either drops a minimum salary player or sends a minimum salary player back to Knicks.

Philly then buys out Felton's last 2 years for nothing. We then sign Felton into our cap space (~$4.8 million guaranteed this year and small to no gaurantee next year) to make up for his buyout. That contract plus 2 years at the minimum is the same thing that he has coming to him.

We still have our Room MLE left at the end of this transaction to add one more piece. This gets us off the hook for Lin's contract, gets us a decent wing player on a rookie deal and a nice contract (Felton) that can be traded or dropped after the season.

Philly gets a look-see at Tyler plus the nice Knicks second rounder.

Stern may have allowed us to pull a dodgy and get AB that way last year but surly silver is more switched on and vetos fat Felton signing with us, I can't see it
