    Exactly.

Without Yao, they had no shot at a title... and barely at getting out of Round 1. However, the team pushed Mac to play. Imagine that extra 3 months off to get surgery done earlier and rehab like DWade did. They were REALISTIC about their team and shut it down to get him healthy.

The Rockets as a team and their fans have unrealistic expectations. This is our year... blah blah blah, until they lose a game. The Rockets have unrealistic expectations of McGrady after him playing hurt the second half of the season with no reason in doing so and the fans share those expectations because of the money invested in him.

Look, if he's hurt, he's not going to get better by playing more minutes... and he's definitely not going to be your go to guy. The Rockets have "Grant Hilled" McGrady. I'm ready for him to get traded and go to another team who will worry about his longevity and not hide behind false hopes of winning a championship without a franchise player.

Selfishly, I half wish Tmac needs microfracture surgery---IF insurance picks up his contract (helping avoid luxury tax?) AND the league grants us an exception up to half the salary blah blah blah. Not that it would do us any good THIS year....

I wish you will also need microfracture knee surgery and I hope we will find out tomorrow, the 13th.

Having personally currently have knee problems, i feel for TMac. And not so optimistic unfortunately.

For my own knees, i've injured it whilst doing a marathon. Ever since then, I found the knee condition has gradually degraded. Now I can not do any sort of running. Walking is fine. I can play tennis but cant go too hard and always need to where knee band when playing. Basketball and Soccer is out of question. I've had MRI and Xray done. Shows nothing.
Tried physio and seen specialist. No change if not worse.

There are lots of unknowns about the knee, the most fragile and vunerable of all the joints.

I feel for the guy having an invisible injury. It is frustrating for me still having this injury a mystery with all the doctors and scans showing all clear!

All the best to TMac though. I hope he will have access to the latest of technologies and doctors who can cure him. Someone special who can diagnoise the problem.

TMac I feel for you man! Keep it up!

I love it when a McGrady fan thinks he knows more than some of the best specialists in the country. Stop fabricating "what if" scenarios and listen to what is being said by the guys who actually know what they are talking about. Hell, listen to McGrady and you will see that he can't even be sure if the knee actually hurts or if he is just scared to play on it.

You're probably right, but he is ruining our season and it is becoming obvious to more and more fans.

Tracy consulted the wrong doctor. He should have asked for a gyneocologist.

Half the fans here expect him to play hurt, half expect him to sit out.

He is ruining our season because he is playing hurt, not because he isn't trying.

Fans need to know this is a KNEE injury, not a pinky injury like Kobe. It affects his lift. Not to mention, he has already played with this injured knee last season for half the season in an attempt to keep us in the playoffs.

IMO, fans need to understand the best for McGrady right now is to get him as close to healthy as possible. Whether it is sitting or not. Though the problem is McGrady can do no right. If he plays, he hurts the team and he is lazy. If he sits, he is stealing money, being lazy.

Perhaps it's time to debate whether the best situation is to sit completely for a few months or just play hurt like now.

Half the fans on this board love T-Mac and they give him the benefit of the doubt, make excuses for him and think he is really hurt. You will never change their minds about the former all=star and scoring champ. ;) didn't work hard enough to rehab and needs to play through the pain. You will never change their minds about the guy who has never been out of the playoffs even though "it's on me." The other "half" (us Yogi Berra fans ;) ), just don't know what to think. I guess we will know one way or another if Tracy ends up having another surgery or if he miraculously recovers after Artest is traded. (Yes I'm going for world record of emoticons in one post!)

Fortunately for Tmac, he was able to resolve his nagging back problems with that admired Dr. from Waco. Hopefully, the both of you can find the appropriate specialist for your knees.

I am not a medical doctor, but I would expect there to be numerous ways to regenerate and or strengthen a knee as with any other body part, and as a worst case scenerio, consideration for a knee cartilage transplant. Unfortunately, one of the biggest challenges some patients with medical issues face are no known solutions, conflicting, and or limited number of justifiable opinions from medical specialists and doctors to which professional sports players are also not immune to.

Keep searching and don't give up hope...

Good luck to the both of you!
