i bet t-mac has some torn cartilage in his knee... i had a friend who had the same thing and he was moving around similar to how tracy was last night... he should get the mri done asap and he'd be back within 6-8 weeks
Classic example of more bone headedness Doctors and Coaches give PROFESSIONAL ADVICE. IF they told you to ride the pine you would too. They obviously are more qualified then you to judge if you should ride the pine or not. All this BS about playing through the pain is ridiculous. The guy is trying to not have a long layoff and not take a MRI as an excuse. He doesnt want to miss alot of games. WAIT, isn't that what most of you have been saying? he wants to miss games on purpose? Ill laugh if a MRI shows his knee is injured for 6-8 weeks and you all go to pieces. I hope you all eat crow for that matter if you say his faking it. Tracy Mcgrady and Yao Ming, are shooting much better then ANYONE on this team by at least 5-6% this season. His saying his not shooting better himself, but the fact of life is everyone else is shooting far worse. FACT
I guess you have some sarcarsm issues. I was trying to make a joke about how he was shut down due to his terrible performance, not due to his injury. And only the coach has a say in not giving someone playing time, not doctors and trainers. Did you even read what I wrote. I'm saying he's a freakin r****d for trying to not find out the truth about his knee, not that he's faking it. And for you slow ones, the ostrich comment meant that ostriches bury their heads in the ground when danger is ahead because they think if they don't see it then it's not there anymore. Same thing T-Mac is doing. And sure he might shoot better in some games, but FACT IS Yao is the one that boosts the team fg%, not T-Mac, and especially not in the previous game.
So is Shaq, so maybe we should get him on our team as well! HA! I like how the past blinds us to the present.
You're right on. I get really weary of hearing about ballplayers sitting out because they have some minor injury bothering them. I think T-Mac is (maybe wrongly, but only time will tell) trying to gut out his injuries because he (and you and I) know how devastating his absence from the line-up is. Trying to play through a serious injury is courageous and laudable, but might be career ending long term. If I were him I'd shut it down for however long it takes to correct the problem. We have 14 other professionals on the roster and they can gut it up too.
