    Does this mean he does not plan on playing for chinese team in the off season.

    exactly yao has a minor injury in his foot, and he has been playing nearly the whole season with it. I mean that injury isn't that bad to sideline him from games, he can still play games but Rick just wants him to get as healthy as he can be when the playoffs come.
