If you read the thread it was meant as a joke as to what people are calling each other.

I don't think anyone is a hater or an apologist, but the labels were flying....it was meant to be a satire.

I might be another sucker but T-mac looks really good out there. I still feel a healthy Tmac in the playoffs is as good as anyone in the NBA even Lebron and Kobe. I will keep giving him the benefit of the doubt but if he dissapoints me once he comesback. I will no longer defend any of his actions. Things are looking good to being a Rockets fan only a few games out of 2nd with pretty much an injured team all season. The sky is still the limit!

    /sigh
Everyone says he shows up at PO's.
I say if we can continue playing the way we are just let him rest, we should be able to maintain a seed at this rate, maybe even a home court position. Bring him back like a month before we enter the PO's to warm himself back up.

Wafer is working his arse off right now and all that will be in vain.

Wafer is a good first half player... on the offensive side of the ball.

    DaDa,

You nailed this one. You clearly predicted we'd see the fluff pieces in mainstream press to rebuild Tmac's image. You absolutely nailed it. (Too bad that his teammates can see through the fluff and have to deal with reality).

I predict McGrady's dunk in practice was on Von Wafer. The way he allowed the Nuggets players to have a dunk line, I'm sure T-mac wanted to get in on some of that and prove a point.

Before all of these rumors I didn't take everything into account. After hearing DWade talk about mac's injury I understand why he's been struggling. After watching this I think we'll be hearing Bill Worrell scream Tmac Attack is Back in the near future.

Thanks Riley, here is the post.

I figured this would happen that the team would try to shelter him from the boos, and rebuild his image.

    It is a smart move.

OTOH, I must have tinkled in Smooth's Starbucks.....lol.

Tracy Mcgrady proving a defensive point to Wafer with the way he has played defense this year? I doubt it. If your right though ... I hope Wafer returned the favor that way they can be mano-a-mano.

No offense to this comment but we weren't exactly beating up the elite teams in the NBA during this win streak. Wafer is working hard is true, but people are expecting way too much from him after a few good games. If Tmac is healthy enough to play right now play him, see if we can rise up in the standings, and get home court advantage.

    Good call.

I posted earlier that it felt like a sales pitch. I'm almost sold but not buying just yet...

I am cautiously optimistic. I will wait until I see him play well for at least 3 games.

That's really good news to us,hope it's him really coming back,we don't need a injured T-slack out on the floor who couldn't run back and guard the opponent.

Does he plan coming back soon?

I'm just providing you with an opportunity to prove all your points about the intangibles. That talent doesn't matter, it's heart that wins.

I think that's fantasyland, but I'm willing to put my pride out there for a good cause.

    Obviously, you're not.

OK. Here's another offer. I'll pay your loser money. So, I front both sides. Now, if you dodge only the charity loses. And, we'll put it back to $500 each.

So, if you won't play when you're healthy, you're taking $1000 away from a charity. Now why would a stand-up, mentally stronger than T-mac guy do that?

    Take more time if necessary

Normal expectations stastically for him would be to average at least

20/5/5 on 42% shooting or more, and atleast 5-6 trips to the line and show vigor when he is out on the court.

Yawn.....pass, but go ahead and pay the money to charity, that is a noble thing to do.

i had faith in tmac all along. most people who complain about tmac have never had an injury or major surgery before. you have to understand that what these athletes put their body through is 10 times worse than anything you have done. people who just expect tmac to play through every injury are just being ignorant.

i had acl reconstruction surgery a year ago and it's hard enough to come back and play pickup ball at the gym with random scrubs. imagine what it's like to go against these nba players after coming off of surgery.

Smooth is obviously a Tmac fan and DD is a Rockets realist. Both don't like each other and Smooth is childishly acting hostile towards DD on the internet. Where's Michael Buffer when you need him?
