agreed, it was a little disappointing, but it seems he is a lot more confident.

Confidence means a bit but that's good news.He needs to lose some weight still.I don't think he moves quick enough to drive past his defender into the paint. His penetration so far is terrible and it seems that every player in the league could easily stop him.

might be due to bad space though. Several times he tried, but help quickly came for the pistons and he was stopped again.

Just like everyone else i was watching him closely. I said uh oh when he hit his first two shots in a row. I appreciate that he gave effort the whole game and at least convinced me that he wanted to be on the court. I even saw himcatch the ball and immediately swing it a couple of times. I got excited. I wish he would play within the offense a lot more, but people on this board have been saying that forever.

I think With yao healthy and everyone playing like they did last night.... We can all be hopeful again.

I don't think its that he's scared. He's just physically unable to do perform like has in the past. He's physically done, he moves as slow as molasses and gets no elevation on his jumpshot.

I don't buy this at all, I think he is physically able, but he is not MENTALLY able to reach down and force himself to explode.

He is just terrified his body will break.......he looks healthy...he just needs to DO IT.....

Quit screwing around...and get to work.

he's just not aggressive, he has a weak mentality, he had 20/4/6 today, he finishes that layup in the first and stopped being a wuss late in the 4th, he finishes with around 26+ points and all of a sudden a great game. he played alright, he just needs to finish better and change his mentality..

Look at his movement right now, compared to a couple of seasons ago. That speed, first step, lateral quickness, and vertical is gone, nothing's there for him anymore. He has one of the fastest physical declines I've ever seen.

agreed. even if his mental part of the issue is gone, his physical ability probably will be just a fraction of his past.

the thing is, he's probably a bit delusional. i mean his mindset probably tells himself that he's still the pre-2005 version of his old self. just a guess.

he's lost some yea, but he's shown he can still get to the rim, he showed it early and late in the game, he's just not finishing at this point, and he's too passive. tmac against detroit drove ONCE late in that 4th, and he scored. it's all a matter of what tmac decides to do. he may not be that 25/5/5 player he once was, but he sure as hell can be a 20/5/5 player. . .

    lol, basically :)

but seriously, it's not even a matter of finishing, it's just laying the ball in, he missed two layups, not even those ghey floaters alston takes. he finishes those two, then all of a sudden he shoots 9-20 and has a solid game with people clamoring over why he didn't shoot more, he still has that ability to be an elite wing, he just doesn't attack nearly enough nor finishing at the rate he's supposed too.

It's not even about getting healthy or being more mentally strong anymore. Tmac just doesn't look like he likes playing basketball this year. He looks like he's just going through the motions.

Tmac is all talk and always will be. He's been doing it for about 6 or 7 seasons now, ever since he became the "man" in Orlando. I highly doubt it is going to change this season.

Like I've been saying for years, he needs to just shut up and play. I can think of very few players who's words are less credible.
