Jerry West has made plenty of mistakes......I said Battier is not perfect but he is far from the worst problem on this team. And yes, Battier rarely makes the hard cut, drives me nuts....but, there is a reason that JVG and every other coach he has played for loves the guy. And a reason that the team's he is on...win..... He will never lead a team, but he can be a good complimentary piece of a very good team.... DD
Tracy, Don't tell me, show me. Talk is cheap and you do way too much of it. How about getting yourself on the court and playing as a "teammate" and showing a little hustle. This is what some of us wanted. Too give you a slap in the face, now let's see if you'll slap back.
Which winning NBA teams were those? If I remember wasn't Memphis 0'fer in the playoffs, not in series but in games. Swept every year. Duke wins every year, so I think that would have done just fine without Battier. Nice guy. Average player.
I'm no expert, I'm just an undergrad student right now, I just base it from what I've oberved from patients. But no, I don't think he'll recover that much, but he'll be better than he was in the beginning of the season.
Not buying it for a second. He hasn't been the same for over 2 years now, and he's all the sudden 100% after 10 days? My ass.
Guys, you misheard....he said "I feel like MY back" as you recall, this is the same back that is frequently injured and keeping him out of games.
again, talk is cheap. if mcgrady is indeed making a lot of progress in his conditioning, good for him and for the team. but we shall reserve our judgment until he comes back and shows us what he's got. i think that's only fair.
im not comparing what i do to what tracy mcgrady does, but i had major shoulder surgery june of last year and i was lifting again after a month and a half. im not talking about the basketball, just strictly lifting. just kind of confusing that mcgrady couldnt work out AT ALL for 7 months after arthroscopic surgery to clear out loose particles. especially when originally, they said 3 months to get back to 100%.
I love TMac just as much as the next guy, and I won't Bash him like some people ("cough cough DD cough cough"). But I wonder if this has anything to do with Von Wafer playing the way he has.
I thought I remember tracy saying he was done lifting for good because of his shoulder at the beginning of the season. Did he think he could just ride his talents and skills the rest of his career and he'd still be a top dog in the league? Is Rick gonna wanna put him back in the lineup right away based off how well Von is playing? Von might not be as talented but unless t-mac can put forth an effort that rivals Von's should he really get to see start type minutes again?
I believe it. Everything is psychological with the dude, like the miracle cure of his back, when he finally felt comfortable with the back specialist. Maybe this time, the 8 month full recovery period was etched in stone for him inside, and he thought lifting would break his knee in 2 ? Either way, if he's finally comfortable, the 8 months are over, his routine is back, I would think we'll see the TMAC from last year in no time.
