I find it hard to believe. I have to see it the rest of the season. T-mac, please don't rush back because you FEEL like you're back or because of the pressure of coming back. If you're indeed back, then the league better watch out. If you are for sure back, and if Ron is back, I'm gonna wet my pants. But if not, stop playing with our heads and take your time man.

Prove it to us man! Lets go Rockets! Booyah!

To be fair to Battier its not like he can't score. He CAN...he has a deadly 3pt and some post moves. Its just that he doesn't WANT to. Tmac and Yao Ming are high volume scorers already, and with Rafer trying to be the Big 4 and taking most of the leftover shots and Scolandry taking whatever is left, he doesn't seem to want to take shots anymore. IMHO Ra should have a sit down with him as well and get him to be more assertive on the offensive end.

Regarding the Tmac piece, I'm definitely cautiously optimistic. I have no background in health or training, but 10 days seem a little too short. I mean, other guys take a month or so to play themselves into shape, and Tmac is not just out of shape he's also coming out of injury. How can he be all the way back in less than two weeks? Still this IS tmac...mr honesty/debbie downer/Saying-I'm-hurt-in-Rox-opener-dude right? If he says he's fully recovered then he probably already is.

To be truly fair, Battier's 3 ball has been lacking since his return. His post move consist of his left handed hook shot that looks more like a person spazzing around on the court.

That being said, the majority of the board ignores this fact because Battier is a hustler, and I agree that he should be respected because of that. Though lately even his defense appears to be slowing down a bit.

However, I'm confident our team will return healthy and ready. I like to see Battier doing more in the playoff, he really hasn't shown up in the past few years.

Mike Miller fits perfectly with the read and react offense, if you acquired Miller, you would also trade another wing....for a PG...probably Battier.

Either way, this team needs a quality PG, IMO...and has too many quality wings that need minutes.

You are trading Artest for Miller, but Miller is another wing so you'd trade Battier for a pg? Why trade Artest in the first place then? Why not just trade Battier for a good pg straight up. I'd certainly do a rafer + battier for Steve Blake+filler type fo trade.

The thing is you can't trade BOTH Artest and Battier. Our defense is already horrible with JVG gone, you'd end up making the offense even better but the defense way worse.

LOL you got that right. Everyone is mad at head for choking in the playoffs but Battier as much as I love him has been choking it up just as badly the past few years in the playoffs. I think he gets a pass because people can't think of witty putdowns that go with "Battier" lol

Yeah, I agree, I think Mike Miller is the perfect fit, but if we don't have Battier or Artest the D would seriously suffer.

Blake is one of the most overrated guys on this board , he just shoots better than Rafer thats it.

I don't consider him a better player than Rafer at all.

Um in case you haven't been paying attention shooting is the only thing that prevents brickfer from being our ultimate pg. Blake is a pass first pg with a great shot, he also provides a good contrast to Ab0 because he's big enough to play the sg spot. In fact he does play sg for the blazers at times. Also he's kinda' young in his 20's I believe, not like Rafer who's already 30+? So yeah Rafer + shooting+ youth = ideal pg= steve blake. How you can think Blake is not better than Rafer is beyond me.

    Great point !

I think Battier as a Rocket is worthy of an insulting nick name just like all the other rocket players.

Instead of Batman you have BatCrap.

I wasn't laughing when you suggested that. I disliked the Rafer for Mike James trade at the very start, and although I don't necessarily think Brickfer is a horrible pg, I won't exactly be crying tears of sadness if he suddenly got traded...besides DD, you can't blame people for being skeptical. You have a lot of misses to go along with your hits lol.

Everyone has hits and misses, we are all just fans on the board...but at least I am 97.8% accurate.

Where did that come from  ?

No one is denying the fact that everyone loves Battier. I just thought Battier deserves a nice little nick name as well when he sucks during a game.

It is a pretty nice nick name though :D (IMSO: In my Sh!ty Opinion)

Battier is a lot better than Luther Head and impacts the game on so many different levels that are not shown on the score sheet.

When Battier is on the floor the team is just better, even if he is not filling up the stat sheet....he is the best team defender, spreads the floor and gives Yao room to operate, and is an excellent entry passer to Yao.

Not to mention he has an underated post game.

And, most importantly, he does not DEMAND the ball, he plays within the system and himself 100% of the time.

To paraphrase JVG. "If you have a problem with Battier, then the problem is actually you."

Battier is the least of this team's problems.

Just so you know I never claimed Battier is a problem in the team. I just feel that he has been lacking offensively (with his 3 ball) and defensively since he came back, but I'm confident he'll return healthy and change all that.

That being said, I also feel Battier has yet to step up in the playoffs.

So no I don't think Battier is a problem to this team nor do I think he ever will.
