Yeah, I have this thing, too. In multiple browsers I always have trouble with these videos. They take about 5 minutes to play 10 seconds, then stop, load, repeat. At this point I don't even bother even though I would love to watch them all. I wish it was Youtube-esque in that you could pause it and it would continue to load.
You should read the book "the sixth man" and see for yourself from someone who actually followed the guy around. Along with LeBron, Wade, and the most hilarious was Kobe being furious because a Santa Monica store had a wall dedicated to Mcgrady and not for him. For the most part the only one of those guys who either wasn't a phony or a jerk was Tmac.
are you serious!? then again, that does sound sooo Kobe i can imagine KB24 goin' bonkers and rippin' down all the TMAC jerseys while some pimple-faced 16y/o worker watches in horror saying, "please stop mister bryant! pleeease stooop!!" lol
Well, I actually know, and am good friends with, people who have had to deal with him and folllow him around - and their assessment is the exact oppposite. I have posted on this before, so I"m not going to totally rehash. Long story short, I have friends who work in the league office up on 5th ave in marketing and they tell me he is among the biggest dicks in the league to deal with, and I have seen that posted on this board by other alleged insiders, so I'm not entirely incredulous.
I've heard the same thing. And "The Sixth Man" was a terrible book. Basically consisted of a bunch of name dropping. It was awful.
It's not that hard to believe being that the guy is a rich young and can be a drama queen. Can't remember where i read it but it was funny. Tmac standing around and someone walks up to him and asks him " what's up Tmac, let me hold something" (let me have some money for the slangless), and tmac told the guy "it aint that good" and walked away from him. One thing i can say though is that he does seem genuine on camera even to his own detriment at times. Now I don't believe him when he said he doesn't know why assistant coach was fired.
Whoaaaaa there. Uh-uh. I attended Marquette, and I can tell you right now that Wade is a fantastic guy. In fact, out of all the basketball players I met, most all of them were dicks, EXCEPT Joe Chapman, Steve Novak, and Dwyane Wade. Wade and Chapman especially were saints, I'm telling you. I never heard a disparaging remark from any Marquette student about either of them, ever. Maybe the fame went to his head. Maybe. But I doubt it.
unless you or your friends can give specifics on why he's a dick, i'll have to take tmac on TV over faceless opinions. Maybe he didnt say good morning to your friends or sth ...lol. Now about JVG, i heard...
well from even watching him on TV during games, he seems like the ONLY NBA player to even interact w/ fans. i remember him sitting down w/ the maloofs during a game, chatting w/ some boston fans on courtside... it's VERY rare when that happens.
It's not hard to believe, I mean Jordan was a dick. He even punched Steve Kerr in the face. But hey, it didn't stop him from becoming the G.O.A.T. and most popular sports figure, probably, ever.
