Its simple, if he isn't able to drive and make hard cuts, then defenders will simply crowd him. So if players crowd him and he isn't able to drive pass them, then he is pretty much useless, since you can't shoot when your defender crowds you all game.

Tmac has been pretty dissapointing this season, but I tend to not pass judgement since I don't don't know all the facts, and presuming I do just makes me look like an ass. But things aren't looking too good for Tmac right now and its starting to get harder to support him when he talks like that.

Maybe he is helping the team. He recognizes that they must establish chemistry without him because he cannot do it. Its up to Yao and the rest of the bunch now. We miss TMac the most in the 4th quarter. Its time for Aaron Brooks and Scola to really step up their game for us now, Battier and Hayes need to work as hard as possible, and Bonzi needs to quit being a primadonna. Adleman and the players need to take a leap and try to get to the playoffs without McGrady.

What caused the fatigue? Maybe he is constantly in pain and can't rest properly, you never know. I think he is a little angry about the trade rumors but still pretend to be a non-issue. He should try some acting course in free time. welcome to hollywood babe.

Yeah, great, so all credibility goes to Miss Tracy McLady. What a coincidence, you forgot to mention he ever announced he did not really play when he was in Magic. How many times he failed the second round in the playoffs. 'Half man, half season' carried the Rox? you got be in illusion.

Tough injury? How many of funs here ever got the simliar injury as Tracy's, and none of them ever said it could have taken so much time. And time is the most valuable thing for the Rockets since you could understand this. The other thing is the tone and attitude he spread out through the media to the Rocekets and funs. Yeah, 'mentally' is not ready. So T-mac is not in shape? Seems he had pretty luxury and cozy life recently. Check out the dates where he did not follow the Rockets and cheer for his teammates. What was he doing? yeah, probably Camping and parties.

$20 M is pretty good money he got and his life wont be more beatiful than this. Who knows he ever give a damn about the Rockets anymore? Sorry, I go too far. But I just couldnt help thinking about this.

Trading him is an option. Why not based on the current situations. People say he got talent and is a gifted player. Yeah he is. But even though you are a gifted player, you need to work you @ss off to do you best. No one on the court is playing girl's game. You need to play tough mentally and physically. You got to cheer for you teammates even if you are sitting on a wheelchair. You got to show you teammates and people, even if you are physically disabled, you are mentally strong enough and you have the 'Heart'.

These are something we are expecting a $20 M Sir is doing or will be doing.

Deckard is right. T Mac needs to only say whatever his agents tells him to say. He is very bad at pr.

It is only group think and perhaps frustration that makes most so sure that he is faking it or not being mentally tough.

How will it help the Rockets if T Mac comes back too early and then is really out for the season?

On the other hand, maybe it would be best to get what we can once he has come back and shown that he is at full strength. The injuries are very very tiresome. T Mac sure looked good at the beginning of the season.

tmac is not a very smart person and u can see it. but that's what i like about it him. he's honest. whatever he says, it goes straight to his mouth without going through his tiny little brain. he's not gonna give you a political answer like a battier or a yao or an adelman.

feign says it best. tmac actually says the right things content-wise, but the way it comes out => lacks A LOT OF DIPLOMACY

if the rockets lose alot and are in a deep hole, and when tmac is physically and "mentally" ready, he better bring us to the playoffs. even when tmac does come back 100%, he's not going to go on a winning streak right away. rockets will probally still go on a losing streak for a week or 2. time is being wasted, and we may regret it at the end.

it's either tmac and the rest of the team step up (battier, head, francis) or another lottery for us.

If he is hurt then he is hurt. I don't want him coming back until he is 100%. It sounds like not only is he limping but he just doesn't trust the knee.

Give him time. When he comes back he damn sure better be on a mission though.

I have a serious question for anyone who knows.

Does the NBA offer a media relations course to rookies? If so, did they offer it during Tmac's rookie season?

He seems to lack so many tools that most adults have. He is 28 and still sounds like a 15 year old at times.

Yeap, he'll be highly probably returns with a lot rust for about a week or two
(hopefully less though). The rests still have to step up in the meantime.
He's just being honest and no one wants to hear an honest opinion. You all want him to say he'll get us the win when he returns and play like a superstar. In reality, he'll probably won't since he just got back from injury.
I have never heard Tim Duncan or even Amare said they'll come back and get their team winning again immediately or will play like a superstar in the
their come back from injury. I think TMac view is reasonable and acceptable.

No TMac means the season is over. Yes TMac means the season is almost over.

Im sorry to say guys but TMac sounds like a wuss right now.

He says he cant play bc he is not 100 %. This mentality is beyond ridiculous.

    D Wade = HEART

I guarantee he isnt 100 % but he is still out there for his team. I understand that the Heat are desperate right now but this is the difference between TMac and Wade.

TMac is too rich for his own good. He needs to develop real love of the game.

What is all the negativity towards Tmac. He bleeds Rocket Red and is obviously prolonging this injury to insure that these rumors remain just that. He has singlehandedly put a close on any trade talks as the Rockets cannot get anything of value for him iand any trade at this point would be ridiculously one sided not in our favor. He will finish the season as a Rocket. Now that's a new twist on someone going above and beyond for team loyalty.

The real issue is wether or not the Rox want to gamble the next three years on Mcgrady stayin healthy enough for them to compete. Basically, if he gets hurt, the season is over, is it worth the risk? I say trade him. I don't hate him or anything, but he is...

    a)too fragile
b)takes up too much cap room
    c)not a closer

    D. Wade may have heart but his team is riding an 11 or 12 game losing streak and his early return still netted a sweep against the Chicago Bulls putting his health on the line in the long run. Its become obvious hes not the player he once was before the injury and that rushing it has hurt him even worse, as well as his franchise.

Yeah...good thing he picked basketball instead of running for some kind of office; his face would be plaster with pies :p He showed up for at a HS dressed like a rapper asking these kids to support a humanitarian crisis  Kind of remind me of the "Rich but not smooth." beer commercial :D
