Thanks a lot, Hilltopper. I hope this will help put to rest some of the crazy trade rumors put out there - what he is saying is true - some of these teams are desperate!

I clicked the link in the first post - tried to change to full screen, that crashed my Firefox. Same issues with that link not showing where the video is (time) and low volume (but used to that already).

Always very much appreciated, thanks, Hilltopper.

that one worked better with firefox, but the volume is still really low. Also when you go to the "all video" page there is no link to see the McGrady video.

Unforetunately he didn't say he was happy here. He said he never asked to be traded but didn't add that he was happy.

Anytime I think about TMac I think about the Dallas Series and how bad a$$ he played in the first 6 games.

In this offense he can get back to that form soon.

just hearing tmac speak earnestly.... admitting he's out of shape and acknowledging the specific trade rumors really puts my conscience to rest. i've felt since his latest injury that he has sort of disappeared from public eye, and that is likely where the 'mcgrady unrest in houston' ferver has sprouted from. him being on the end of the bench like a true leader gives me reassurance.

tracy is here to stay. thank god.

buuuuut i somehow doubt the haters will quell their trade fodder parade....

    thanks for the vid.

Just an observation. When asked about trade rumors that he is unhappy and want to go to Chicago, Tmac said " I never said going to Chicago", pause, " and never said I want to be traded".

Notice he did say I never said he was unhappy.

I hope winning makes his mood a little better.

i noticed the same thing but i was going to post it as a joke and hope you are as well. i think it was pretty clear he was shutting down the entire rumor including the unhappy part.

    good stuff as always hilltopper.

Are you kidding? He handled that interview the best way possible. I've been upset over things Tmac has said before but that was in response to a "fanboy" question that was trying to either incite positivism (It's great, when I come back it'll still be great) in which case everyone calls bs or it let's him pat himself on the back a little bit. The guy said "how ridiculous is it that people say the Rockets are better with out you?" He is either being "I'm with you Tmac these guys are bunk" or "here is my chance to play with Tmac's ego and let him slip up a headline worthy quote." Tmac replied that his team was playing better but scheduling has helped. New York twice... Glibert-less Wizards, yeah...Tmac has a point. Plus, he says let's wait and see (NO) implying that maybe the improvement is legitimate.
He has carried our team the last few years, the combination of Luther's improved play, having Bonzi (who is still an option the defense has to be honest with), Rafer playing well, Scola hitting his stride...has allowed us to combat his loss better than ever before. Our performance isn't indicative of how poorly Tmac makes us when he plays...it is a testament to a much better bandaid the Rockets now possess for such occasions, courtesy of Morey.

T-Mac at least is not saying is on me stuff. He should be part of the TEAM if he wants to be.

From watching the video, I don't think he meant it in a demeaning way to the team though......he said it'll be interesting to gauge just how much the team has improved when we match up against the Hornets this weekend, for instance....

One thing that's a little more clear from all the rumors however, is that it likely was never Tmac that was unhappy with the Rockets but probably the Rockets front office that has become weary of Tmac's poor effort on the court and frequent injuries......as confirmed by Morey's last interview - he said it's difficult to get equal value back in a trade for Tmac......as opposed to saying they are not interested in dealing him at all.....so i still would not be surprised at all if Tmac is dealt sometime during 2008 now.....on the contrary, it looks like it's only a matter of time...

Weak schedule and all the team is playing better because they are playing harder and playing with each other. But the important thing is they are playing HARDER which is why they are playing better. When he was in the lineup the team played soft and they had no fight, they are playing the same weak teams and if he remembers with him we lost to the kings, sixers, grizzlies, raptors, magic. Without him we are playing much better against those same type of weak teams and winning.Schedule has zero to do with how we are playing if he wants to focus on that weak aspect.
