[ch 2 video] McGrady after Monday practice (11/23)

When I listened to Elston Turner, I got the impression that they want him to play but will not allow what happened last season to disrupt the flow of this season. It makes sense that they don't want to let T-mac come in and out of the line up since it annoys coaches and players due to having to change the game plan last minute.

I guess there could be stuff behind the scenes we fans don't know about but I have confidence that the Rockets staff will bring Tracy into the picture when ready and if not they will trade him to another team. I think this issue has become more complicated since fans and the media love speculating.

 

What story? He wants to play. What's the problem? I understand why the Rockets are being cautious, but why should he hide that he feels like he is ready? You would be b****ing if the opposite were true.

 

What is really sad is that Adelman/Morey and McGrady can't all get on the same page and keep this BS in house instead of talking to the press. It is becoming a bigger issue everyday they don't communicate. This team has worked their tails off to be competitive, if he can help communicate with each other behind closed doors. If its a day, a week, or a month at least Mac will know where he stands and there will be none of this BS. Im not a McGrady fan but this is not all his fault, I believe they are equally at fault.

 

I hope they do give him a chance soon. A scrub like Brian Cook can be on the active roster but there is melodrama for a former all-star to be activated.

 

That's the problem though -- it won't look good if they try to play him and it doesn't work out well. They can't just then decide to bench him. It would look bad -- on the Rockets and on McGrady, probably add to the frustration, create more drama and problems than it solves. This is probably their rationale for choosing to be patient with the process even though it is frustrating for him to have to keep watching from the sidelines at this point.

 

yea i saw the vid, still its a little vague. i mean all i want to know is that even if he isnt in "game shape" has he gained his athleticism back or not?

 

How many more practices do the Rockets have this week? Will Tmac participate in all of them? If so shouldn't that deem him ready to play??

 

I was replying to TMac4Life#1 who said people would call yao a warrior for doing and saying the things tmac is. but while we're at it replace tmac with shane, luis, AB, Chuck,landry is questionable but i have a feeling even he would fall into line with what the organization and coach requested.
it's called professionalism and commitment to your team and organization.
he probably knows he is going to be traded or dropped so he doesnt give a crap though.
i'm american and i would do whats best for the team and organization unless i knew for a fact i was going to be traded or dropped. if that were the case then i would try to screw them as much as possible and be all about ME.

Why are you so sure he didn't say those things but just didn't quite make the video?

 

Seems no matter what TMac does or says he will be wrong in some peoples eyes. Im glad to see him wanting to play... but he still gets bashed for that. Then if he was willing to just sit back people would criticize, " Why isnt Tmac fighting and speaking up to play if he feels like he can" . The guy cant do right?

And I am having a hard time blaming him. But I trust Adeleman and the coaching staff.

I dont.. I have a source who says the Rockets organization wants to ruin Tmac's reputation. However I'm not going much into that because I'm not allowed to say anything.
