Rough transcript for those without speakers:

McGrady: Well it’s what I thought it would be. Everybody is making a big deal of the 23rd date. I don’t know why. I mean it’s no different than any other practice that I’ve been participating in. I mean, the MRI is going to be, you know, irrelevant until, you know, moving forward. I’ve said that. It’s not going to tell them whether I can play or not. It’s not – I’m just going by what my doctors told me that did the surgery on it. So, I don’t know why this was such a big date.

McGrady: Well, me personally, I feel like I can play, but Coach and the GM obviously feel differently. You know, they run this team and until they feel that I’m ready to play then I guess I’ll be, you know, watching.

McGrady [he becomes a little flustered here]: What everybody is really making a problem out of, which is really ****ed up, is when when becoming ready, wanting to play basketball is really becoming a problem, you know, a bad thing. I’m ready to play basketball. So everybody is making a big deal because, you know, I say I’m ready, GM and my coach say I’m not ready, but everybody wants to make a big deal that, you know, I’m just this diva and all this crazy **** that I’m reading in the newspaper . It’s it’s it’s just crazy. You know, I’m ready I feel I’m ready to play basketball. They’re not. OK. Well, until they feel I’m ready then I won’t play. I mean, it’s not that big of a deal.

Reporter: So it’s not a problem for you to –

McGrady: It’s not a problem at all. I just wanted to know when I was going to be activated. That’s all and my coach told me when I was going to he thought I was going to be ready, you know, he was going to see how today was going to be, see how the MRI, you know, comes out – and again, to reiterate on that, it’s not really going to reveal anything. But, you know, that’s the way it is.

Pretty much. I'd rather see an interview with Daryl Morey or Elston Turner. We already know how Tracy feels.

Cmon guys! Sure, Tmac is an easy target to pick on, but you dont have be a rocket scientist to see what the Rockets, as organization, are doing.

There is only one logical explanation to why they scheduled the MRI a few weeks after the season has started. It is about the money.

If they really thought he didnt have anything left, they would have traded him. Sure, a healthy tmac would be easier to trade, but at this point, his expiring contract is his greatest asset.

What exactly did he say that was such a big deal? That he's been going all-out in practices without problems? He's not making a big deal out of anything. He's actually downplayed his conversation with Adelman and refuted the 11/18 target date the day after it was reported. What's he supposed to do, ignore all questions? Not even Adelman and Morey are doing that.

It must be tough on him. You know, management expecting him to keep working hard to get in game shape & all.....it sounds to me as if that is all that's left for him to do. Get in game shape.

Five doctors said McGrady could play last year and, according to him, they were wrong.

Amazing how he is so quick to reference the doctor's opinion now.

First time he dumps a 30 spot on an oppossing team and the rockets get a W, all will be forgotten. Most fans are wishy washy. He's stil the rockets only true playmaker and the only one that can command a double team.

how did he contradict the GM and coach, he feels he's ready, but the coach feels he isnt, its two opinions.. what is he suppose to say he doesn't feel ready just because someone else says hes not ready

I guess its because its McGrady. I mean i guess if it was Yao guys would be calling him a warrior. SMH..

Steve Francis and guys would have been doing that stupid chant. Its McGrady and guys are saying trade him for a bag of chips.

He wants to play. Thats good enough right there. At least give him a chance now. The season is still young. whats the big deal. Chemistry?? What chemistry the Rockets are 8-6. Lol what good chemistry do we have with that record.
