Heh, he is right about one part. Only T-Mac can catch heat for trying to come back and play. He wants to play, no he just wants a contract. Even though the only teams that can offer him good money are the teams that don't have a chance getting out the first or even making the playoffs. Of course he takes the money over winning because he's content with have no success right?

All this T mac hate for no reason is just plain gay. I really question some of the posters on here who make something out of nothing.

    There are plenty of reasons.

    Don't sugarcoat his past.

You are who you are, he has proven it time and time again, there are plenty of reasons to want the guy out of Houston.

It is flat out ignorant to act like Tmac has been a saint, or even a good soldier.

The guy is who he is....some people are bothered by that, some aren't.

Me, I think his character is crap, and that he will always fall short because of that....I want him gone.

I don't think its fair to judge somebody's character if you don't personally get to know that person. Very hard to judge somebody when all you know about the person is what you see in the media. If you can judge a person based on soley that, then MJ would look like the greatest human being ever. But from multiple reports of personal encounters, folks say he's a dick. Look, on the court, we can talk about his game all we want. But to attack somebody's character of a person you don't personally know, C'mon now.

Outside of his issues last year there are not other apparent reasons to want him out of Houston. The 4 years before that he played hard for us.

His character has flaws, serious flaws. But flawed characters have won championships and done alright too.

Guys like Dennis Rodman and Ron Artest are coveted by champions. Some guys do set their own rules. You think Shaq isn't a prima donna?

T-mac is a prima donna, and I know it irks a lot of people. He thinks he's the center of the world. And in his world, he's been sacrificing and unselfish - he can't get why he's portrayed so negatively.

Can he help us down the line? I think so. But there are challenges.

He must repair his relationship with Adelman. Superstars get second chances, especially with a guy like RA. But commend RA for drawing a line. Frankly, this is the most impressed I have been with RA ever.

He's drawn a line and basically said, I am not going to budge.

For t-mac to play as a Rocket he has to do the following:

    1. Actually get back to 100% - he is not there yet judging on assessements
    2. Make amends with Rick Adelman - this can take many forms. He has to go to RA and prove he will play within his system. In other words, he has to earn his keep in practice. That's it. That's how you humble yourself and make amends.

The question is, can T-mac swallow his pride and do what needs to be done in practice.

I think it's yes and I think he is doing it. He is kicking and screaming a bit. He's like the rich kid who never had to lift a finger forced to do the laundry. He's not happy about it, he's complaining. But he is doing it.

I think one of two things will happen.

T-mac will get sick of doing laundry and his the role that is being asked of him and demand to be traded

Or he will make his peace with this and just STFU and play.

It's really up to him. I think that's kinda why the Rockets organization are not be committal and being vague. The ball isn't in their court, it's in tracy macgrady's.

    I hope T-mac realizes that.

While I agree, most of the guys you cited, went to a team with an established hierarchy and another superstar player that would hold them accountable.

TMac is not a leader, but he thinks he is.....

    THAT IS THE MAIN PROBLEM.

It was either him, or one of his people, that is what I think.

The first one was him, the second one was source close to McGrady. Justice claimed the Rockets were angry at McGrady because they thought that source was him.

This is what people don't get....there is NOTHING wrong with him wanting to play and working hard to get to that goal.

Everyone would admire him for that.

It is the way he goes about things to try to force the issue, it is all about HIM rather than the team.

It is mind boggling that a 30 year old man has not figured out...no, scratch that, has not taken responsibility for what he does.

He is like a little spoiled brat who has never been told "No" and now, for the first time he is....and he is screaming and tossing a tantrum at anyone that will listen.

The time has come for him to man up, admit he is wrong, swallow his pride and get to work....this organization will not be bothered by him laying on the ground sucking his thumb and calling for his mommy.

At this point, it really is...."All on him".......

My understanding is that a yahoo reporter called t-mac to confirm a report that he would be returning on Nov. 19th.

I don't really see where he's been screaming and tossing a tantrum. That's extreme hyperbole even for you. All he has done at this point is expressed his desire to play and his feelings that he is able to. His timetable has been premature compared to The Rockets but let's not act like they've laid all the cards on the table to the public either. Whether he said anything or not, the Rockets' put the Nov. 23rd date on the table, and this situation would be coming to a head now anyways. The team itself isn't the least bit distracted and the worst T-mac has done is say he's ready to play and it's up to the coach and gm when he can. Granted his comment was laced with some bitterness but it's yet to escalate into anything remotely sensational.

    Oh come on !

The guy dug out his uniform wore it onto the court......I mean the dude is flat out making a big deal out of it, and then going...."Oh, I don't get why everyone is making such a fuss"

You know why Tracy? Because YOU ARE !

What is surprising to me is that people are overlooking things like this that undermine the coach and organization.

See, that is why he is MeMac, not because of his ball dominance on the floor (which is also true) it is because he puts himself ahead of the team.

Me Mac, or Knee Back, whatever....the day he is traded, or this is over will be a great day for the Rockets.

AntiSonic - you were RIGHT all along....kudos to you my brother.
