How many playoffs appearances does Francis have? Contracts are overrated. It's more the stupidity of the GM than player. Stupidity would be the lurking variable. Not a good parameter to judge by.

bonzi is still with the team. no way is t-mac gonna come out and say if bonzi had maybe hit a treadmill he would have played. the facts we know about the situation was that bonzi was still upset about the sacramento contract and he was grossly out of shape. i watched every minute he was in a game, i don't really need any other reasons as to why he didn't play more. he wasn't any good. that'll probably change if he's motivated. anyways i don't think we're in disagreement here.

as for jvg, players tend to get over coaches and teammates fairly quickly. unless their steve francis. tracy even says in this interview he had no problems with the way jeff coached. i loved van gundy as a coach and still think he's a great one but i'm still excited about adelman all the same.

Considering the team T-Mac played on, I'm surprised that his stamina could last to the 7th game. He played with a starting pg who can't shoot, a starting sf who can't create, and a starting pf who can neither shoot nor create. To make matter worse, there's not much team play to help him out.Mac and Yao played 3 against 5 on offense - we can get an above average offensive player if we roll Rafer, Battier and Hayes into one player. Throw in an offensively challenged assistant coach, we were playing games the hard way.

Bad offense is bad basketball. If we score 100 points, we can win holding the opposing team to 99 points. If we score only 90 points, we must hold them down to 89 points. Bad offense consumes our energy to score in the hard way, while increasing demand on defense. It cut down the Rockets energy on both ends of the floor.

With better players and a better coach, MacMing will be playing basketball the right way. T-Mac's stamina wasn't a problem, his team was.

Yes, people tend to forget that poor yao was in the same boat as tracy. yao had to score , rebound, play defense all the while he had 3 guys off he's back. hopefull scola can spread floor now and help yao on the offensive end.
