i don't expect him to be as explosive as he was in orlando. this kobe is not as explosive as the earlier kobe if u watch him closely, but his jumper has been tremendous.

that's what tmac has to do. he can still penetrate, but he can't blow by his guy w/ one dribble like he used. he can't put facials on ppl when he gets into the lane. but his penetration is still good enough if he wants to penetrate as we saw in utah. but what failed him is his jumper. and that can EASILY be fixed if he practices and get a rhythm immediately to start training camp.

he shot 43% last yr, which is average. but he was TOO INCONSISTENT. one month is 46-47%, next month is 38-39%. practice/repetition this offseason will change that

that's a fallacy. when u have 2 tremendous scorers, u don't run through one guy exclusively for a quarter or even 4-5 min stretch => too predictable. that's what JVG did. when he goes to tmac or yao, he goes to them EXCLUSIVELY for a while. easy to set up ur defense for that.

i dont think adelman would do that. he would use both simultaneously like phil did w/ kobe and shaq.

tmac shot 43% this past yr. so how the hell is he gonna shoot just 40%?

and 2-3% increase ain't that hard to do for a guy like tmac.

man, tmac is not even a sure HOF right now b/c of his lack of success. but we all know his limitations this past yr. he knows it. he'll look at his stats and videos and that fg% just pops out right at u. the ft % (and that's repetition too). then he'll know what he needs to work on.

but though tmac is not the best in the L, u know he's still a top 5 player when a bum like michael pietrus went on the jim rome show and the 2 players he said provides the most challenge to anyone is kobe bryant first, then tmac second.

tmac just needs to get back to scoring 28+ rather than 24-25.

You guys are missing the point, MAC's % will go up cause he'll get a few more layups instead of putting up jumpers every time w/ defenders on his face, sometimes 2 defenders.......and i dont mean layups where he has to drive past 5 defenders, i mean cutting in, ala harpring etc. in the playoffs against us.........i wouldnt be surprised by a 45% year from him. Thats not asking much.

And btw, MAC was still the best player on the court on most nights we played games......

mac is the best player on the court every time, just not when he plays kobe and kobe gets to jack up more shots => more pts than him. but really, most of the time, the only time a player usually outshines tmac is kobe. he often outshines other stars (bron, wade, vince...)

I TOTTALY AGREE. the beauty about the motion offense is you're bound to get more easy shots then other offensive systems. tracy will get alot more easier shots this season. Adelman will make the adjustments needed to get tracy easier shots. tracy will avge anywhere from 26 to 30 this season. i got no dubt about it.
