    Two points-

TMac- has maintained consistently that he wasn't right...yeah he said he could play through it- that was company line and bravado ego speaking but he wasn't right physically...
He hasn't been right at all except for after he rested the knee the last time, but he admitted even then he couldn't do things on it he wanted to in game conditions

TMac- never has faked an injury.

OK, to me he's been hurt and playing with at least discomfort and he's been attacked for it

all the criticism was made by those who couldn't possibly really know how he felt playing NBA level basketball.

I've believed him to be a prima donna, but I don't think I felt he was right enough to be 'TMac' at any point this season

I assume that's why you said Artest shouldn't be traded--if he can be forced to toe the line he's a guy that's an offensive and defensive threat who can take a huge amount of pressure off of Yao.

Last year when Yao went out it was down to T-Mac. This year it could just be Artest and Yao. That might be enough, again assuming that Artest can be forced into line. No shortage of drama this season.

And of course the medical reports are preliminary. No tell if or when T-Mac comes back. I would hope that if the team makes the playoffs without him that he doesn't try to come back in the post-season, especially considering the issues the Rockets have been having trying to fit him into the offense.

Uh, didn't someone in the know say he faked the back injury when he was dealing with the pregnancy in Orlando?

Either way, let's wait to see what the REAL verdict is...

The best thing is the doctors told him to play through that -- at least they say it couldn't get any worse by playing...

    JOKE...

    Thank God!!!!

Now we can have Artest lead us and more playing time for Wafer.

We won't have to worry about playing 4 against 5 anymore.

McGrady, if this is true, would most certainly be out next season. The most optimistic scenario would have him trying to play again in March, and that's gone poorly for almost every player that's attempted to do so.

For everyone saying this - keep in mind you're saying that Dr. James Andrews, probably the top pro athlete doc in the globe, sucks as well.

Well even if T-mac wasn't hurt I wasn't exactly so sure about trading Ron. Now I'm certain we should not trade him. We need that 2nd guy to Yao. We beat Boston when Ron played with Yao and T-mac was out. Ron brings this team toughness which we have lacked in this whole T-mac/Yao era. He plays hard, I know he gambles a lot but he has more pros than cons.

Also now we will see how Wafer plays when defenses adjust to him.

Well, Tmac just hijacked 20 million dollars off the cap for next year too. I can't believe they couldn't diagnose this earlier.

So if T-mac is done for the season and does not get the surgery since he probably won't be playing after his contract expires , does insurance cover his salary?

The team doctors MUST be held accountable for this. Incompetence of this magnitude is unacceptable.
