Idiot? no no no you guys all think that mcgrady is the key to everything and you're right, he is the key to us not making it out the first round. I think we are a better team without him right now because with him in the game we are just slooooooow! If we get back to playing good basketball and mcgrady out the picture you will be saying something different at that time goober

I was thinking this also. The only way we could be MORE cursed than we already are would be to find out this news a couple days after the deadline.

This was the kind of news Donnie Walsh has been praying for. A broken T-Mac for Marbury would still be a major PR coup for the Knicks.

Fans went off of what the coaches, doctors and Tracy all said -- he was medically sound and couldn't hurt it by playing through it. I know people want fans to own up, but geez... where are the doctors in all this? Is this a new injury and if not, how did the Rockets miss MISSING CARTILAGE in his knee? How many times have the Rockets botched MRIs because Tracy didn't want them?

Until I hear, I'm going to give the doctors the benefit of the doubt and guess this is something that happened recently.

Okay if they do, I will fee sorry for the guy. About like I would have felt if we had made it out of the first round last year without Yao.

Well what was he suppose to say....I mean he probably did feel good for a while....knee injuries are a tricky thing. You can feel great one day and have it hurt like hell the next day. And I don't blame him at all for saying "he's back" because he was obviously just saying what the fans wanted to hear. That's what these players do...they don't give you behind the scenes info...Look at battier, he will always tell you the right thing, but that doesn't mean its the truth.

The blame here goes entirely on the previous doctors who examined his MRI results and missed it....that is just pathetic

    its not funny anymore

Somebody get rid of that damn MRI machine!!!

On second thought, this may turn out to be a blessing in disguise.
I dont think the Rockets or T-Mac were ready to admit he was hurting this team.

    Conspiracy Theory:
The Rockets couldnt come to terms or move Tracy.
Tracy shuts it down for the remainder of the season.
Tracy gets traded in the off season.

It's the act of shipping out Marbury... He'd be out this season not next. The Knicks aren't playoff bound anyway.

That seemed to me to be more of a PR stunt. With the hype of this season he and the Rockets needed some way to hype him up.

He looked better the last few games than early in the season but you could see it was clearly bothering him. He even tweaked it in the Bulls game.

He probably should just shut it down for the better of the team and possibly his career.

The great news now is that all the expectations are thrown out the window. We, as fans, who expected great things from this team can all go back to earth. Quite honestly, it would save us from severe disappointment.
