Sorry to burst your bubble, but the rockets weren't winning a championship this year even with McGrady. This is the Lakers year!

I agree with that! How did they not see this coming? Where did they go to medical school? Peru?

Tracy has been my favorite player in the NBA for quite a while.I try not to comment about him,I might be a lil bias. After reading the title, w/ the little update added on,I think ill go ahead and add my 2 cents.Last season something was supposedly wrong w/ Mac's knee.So much that a decision that exploratory "surgery" was needed.Well when the Doc had a looksy the diagnosis was that nothing was wrong and he went ahead & cleaned out some loose particles.Everything was structurally sound and he needed was some rehab & he should be good to go.Now fast forward to present day,Mac is still complaining that somthing is wrong, well cuz it has never been fixed. But Damn, the doctors run the same test and guess what, according to the results, nothing has changed.Whos right? Tmac says there is pain so something must be wrong well find it and fix it dont tell me the knee is normal.Doc says its as normal as it ever gonna be. i dunno if I would take that diagnosis very happily either.

You forgot to mention that he has seen several different doctors and they all gave him the same response.. Who knows it might be one of those very rare (one in a million) type of problems that can't be figured out without extensive research but to me it sounds like Tracy problem is a bit mental.

detroit is willing to give up iverson, bring him in for tmac and maybe head if they ask for someone else too. I remember iverson saying that if he ever had yao on his team it would be a 100% chance of winning the title. This would be his chance to prove it, im sure he'll be motivated. Michael Curry loves tracy's game so i think theyd do it. Keep Artest too and i think this team can go far. That or just trade for marbury so we have Artest and another 20 mil coming off the books. Marbury could definitely help us more than tracy right now and if not oh well start wafer he can do more than tmac is going to be able to do this season. The point is we'll have marburys expiring contract and start somone who is going to be a star in the league soon.

as an emergency kinda trade, trading for a.i. makes sense to me.

Me too, AI's contract expires this year. I don't believe Detroit would give him up for that specific reason.

Stacy McLady lost his trade value. he knows it which is why he's milking this knee fiasco so he won't be traded to a floundering team to end his career with. look at the history--he did the EXACT same thing in orlando. what a joke. get off his nuts... or lack there of. looks like my nuetered dog, sack w/out the balls.

You can also throw in the Marbury trade as an emergency with an expiring contract at the end of the season.

Christ almighty, can some of you listen to yourselves? First off, in what way or form is Stephen Jackson a star of any kind? Second, in the past, what player who was trying to be an all-star do you know of has bounced around from team to team??

Make no mistake, Wafer has been balling lately but there's no way he's gonna be able to carry this team on his shoulders the way T-Mac has. And if we're pinning our hopes on this team as is, a lot of you are going to be disappointed.

This team ain't winning jack **** without a secondary star player.

Who expects Wafer to carry the team on his shoulders like T-Mac did? With the presence of Artest, Yao and Scolandry, if he can ever play as well as Stephen Jackson, Rox would be a very competitive team despite the lack of depth in the backcourt.

Right now the only thing that Tracy can do is to rest for as long as it takes. He will attempt another comeback, hopefully before the end of the regular season. If he still can not play consistently for more than a few games then, he should just shut it down for the year and have another scope done on his knee. A scope is the most comprehensive examination of the knee and may reveal something that an MRI would not.

As for the Rockets's season, the team should not count on McGrady in their plans. If TMac ever gets healthy, it's an added bonus. But the Rockets should procede as if McGrady is out for the year. That's the best thing to do for the team at this point.
