    This is getting comical.

So, TMac has had multiple MRI's this season, one of which from the "Master of Knee Injuries" Dr. Andrews, all of which showed nothing wrong with the knee - only that it needs to get stronger and he has to get over it mentally.

But NOW, this sudden MRI done out of the blue yesterday shows that the knee is where it was before the surgery. Huh?

He calls his own press conference during a game while his TEAM is trying to win a game without him. Notice how there is not one represenative of the Rockets around him during it? If there is such a serious situation of a bad knee needing second opinions and possible surgery, don't you think SOMEONE (Morey, Keith Jones, etc) with the team would be there to field questions and validate what is going on?

Not to mention it's the second time he's called a press conference during a freaking game to basically tell us nothing. What the heck is wrong with releasing a statement?

As a fan, this is getting REALLY annoying, can you imagine what the other guys on the team are feeling?

    Comical.

    BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE !!!

Exactly, the entire team is probably TIRED of his act, and would love for the organization just to bench him.

Watch how much more energy the entire team plays with when he is not on the court.

    It is obvious.

I said, unless Artest turns into the old Artest. We're not winning a playoff game when our second best player is shooting under 40% from the field. I don't give a **** how much you rationalize it, it isn't happening.

I hope the Rockets prove me wrong... but it looks like you guys might technically get what you wish if he is out for the rest of the season. I don't want to hear "well, Tmac was injured" if/when we lose in the 1st round again. Because apparently this team is still better than last years team.

shut up and stop trying to defend mcgrady. let's thank him for the great things he's done and cut him loose. he's not hakeem olajuwon, so dont defend him like he's a saint or like he's actually done anything spectacular for us in the post-season (which is what matters).

he's selfish, he slows down the offense, he doesn't encourage his teammates, he's a blamer extraordinaire, he's grossly over-paid, and he's a lazy ass defender...just to name a few.

i loved him healthy and wanted to believe that we needed to strengthen the core around HIM to win deep into the post-season. his play this season has been atrocious. he needs to accept the fact that if he wants to ontinue to play for ANY team in the NBA he'll have to learn to be a roll player like Grant Hill has done to maintain his self respect.

WE ARE TERRIBLE THIS YEAR WHEN MAC IS ON THE FLOOR. IF YOU DONT SEE THAT YOURE A COMPLETE AMATEUR AND YOUVE PROBABLY NEVER EVEN PLAYED COMPETETIVE BBALL BEFORE, YOU WERE THE STAT KEEPER.

Mac, i hope youre reading this. please do houston a favor and either step into a roll player off the bench or retire.

    McGrady SUCKS. PERIOD.

I told way long before to trade this fool for anyone worthy because I knew his commodity would go down the slammer. This guy is lazy. PERIOD. Stop defending this BS. He is paid 20+ mil and performs worst than von wafer who is being paid not even a mil. Get the stepping!!!!!!!!!! You are not welcome here anymore!!

All the tmac lovers would say NO to:

    tmac for kobe last year
    tmac for hamilton/prince
    tmac for billups/wallace
    tmac for ai

Now we have a washed up guy and the other teams probably dont want ANYTHING to do with this bum.

(Go see the miss reverse dunk). What a shame!! Go read other forums and people are CLOWNING on this fool. I do not believe anymore. Get rid of him!!

Does anyone know anything further about the circumstances surrounding his half-time presser? I didn't see it, but if no one from the Rocket's organization was around that doesn't sound so good. In fact, the Rockets organization needs to do more talking on this subject than Tracy does. He's created even more speculation for himself around his situation. Also, calling this during a game, I don't know. It was halftime, but was it even necesarry? Couldn't they have said something before or after? This organization seems to mishandles these types of situations with Tracy.

In India as an expat or actually live there? Either way it's gotta be tough trying to catch some games if you are a fan of the Rockets out there with the time difference.

The point isn't that the team won't win without him, it's that the team won't go far without him. The team was also always a top defensive team with him in the lineup, so it's obvious that it's not a matter of him not giving the effort; the problem is that people like you threw him under the bus without having any real insight as to what his physical problem actually is. You of all people should be eating crow if it is indeed as serious as McGrady said it is. It's like when people threw Hakeem under the bus during his last few years though the man deserved better. One more thing that I wanted to add is that I, like many others on the board, do appreciate what you bring to the board DaDakota, but at times it seems that you would rather be right as long as you can throw Mac under the bus, not cool.

Eating CROW? The dude didn't rehab, he won't get better without REHABBING THE KNEE which is what the doctors and everyone else is telling him, of course he knows better, right?

As for the team needing Tmac...well that is a complete and utter...fallacy.

The team is good enough to win in the playoffs without Tmac, there is enough talent to do that.

And since the team has never won WITH Tmac......let's give it a go.

As for me, I call it like I see, it, I would love for Tmac to be healthy and happy, but he just isn't, there is a lot of shooting the messenger going on around here, sometimes....I know people don't want their hero to fold like a cheap tent.

I am NOT a hero worshiper, I am a Rocket's fan, and if any of the players is bringing down the team...he has to go.......I wanted Dream out his last year too......the truth hurts sometimes, don't be too afraid to face reality.

    DD

PS. Tmac has still NOT rehabbed his knee.....is it surprising that he is still having issues?

We will see. I agree with that.

We don't really know what is going on right now. We will know that after the all star break.

We really don't know, will tracy grow up and play or will he shut it down and have the surgery. NO IDEA.

But I don't think we can win without him in the playoffs. We may fight, but...

What surgery? There is no surgery recommended here, THREE respected doctors said all he needs is rehab.

Hey, here is a novel idea Tracy.....why not do what the doctors tell you for a change and see if it actually works.

Or, maybe you can invite more sycophants over to train you........and take those 2 weeks to get in shape.....again.

    ROFLMAO !!

We still don't know. Maybe, maybe it will be the best for him? If yes, than what? He has to go through it.

I understand TMac is a pretty lazy player.

But yeah, if he took another 2 weeks off, it would be ridiculous

We know that 3 prominent doctors said no surgery is necessary......could they all be wrong, of course, but until Tmac actually does what they recommend and goes through a proper rehab for his knee, we will NOT know.

And believing ANYTHING Tmac says is laughable, the guy lies and embelishes more often than any athlete I have ever seen.

They looked pretty darn good last night. The ball was moving around like a hot potatoe and the offense never seemed to stall. Even Artest looked good in the rotation. But they need to get Von Wafer more minutes, this guy is aggressive and not afraid to take it to the rack; something this team lacks outside of Brooks.

What now? Well if there is no trade in the works just play along with T-Macs prognosis and let him ride the pine. That makes Yao the leader of this team and everyone else seems to know their roles when they are on the floor with him. Let them gel over the next few weeks and lets dance in the playoffs with who brought us.

The real world and the sports world is so different. If one of my employees called in sick for consecutive days then I require for that employee to provide me a doctor's note to justify the sick days. In the sports world, I guess a doctor's note that doesn't agree to what a player feels is useless.

The sports business is BIZARRO WORLD on how it's run...

The world of guaranteed contracts, where some players care more about adulation than winning.

Of course his knee would have some cartilage missing.

He had surgery this summer to remove any cartilage spurts that was causing his pain last season, and cartilage is very hard to regrow. This is nothing new. I bet most of his discomfort from his knee come from the swelling instead of any structure damage.

He is fine. It just he wants to be a drama Queen and make people feel sorry for him.
