This is another reason why JVG should be fired, this just sounds discouraging for no apparent reason. TMAC is around 27 years old and plenty of players have gone into their mid thirties and played productively, why not him... sad just sad...
lance and john were on this subject friday. saying that since the season didn't go all that well that they would probably be trying to get JVG to stop the negativity. on another note, does anyone think g.s. would be interested in giving up Jason Richardson in a trade. that's a guy I really think the rockets should target if they have questions about mcgrady. I never was a fan and not one now but I was impressed with what he did this year, especially shooting 38% from the three point line. he's not the playmaker that tracy is but he is everything else.
everything being equal they would in a heartbeat....just like every other team in the league. But, already having Baron Davis the last thing you want is another BIG money player with questionable health. But love Richardsons game....he's a stud and if Golden State was better he'd get more recognition
Only 3 years? That's actually really depressing to hear as a Rockets fan. I was thinking a minimum of 6 years. Late 20's to mid 30's are always the peak years of all athlete's years. I think JVG is actually thinking he'll have 3 years with the rockets at the most.
Are you trying to say you would trade Tmac for J Rich??? What are you smoking? The only two players who I'd consider are Kobe and Lebron. No one else. Tmac will come back strong next season. Bet on it.
I hope. I truly hope. I guess my fear is the classic fear of uncertainty: we all know the tmac-yao tag team can only last so long, and particularly after seeing his back problems and how they can derail the team (which is even more pronounced when you have our NBDL All-Star line-up) it can give anyone a moment of pause. i guess my own doubts would be put to rest if we knew a comprehensive medical evaluation was done (as opposed to the ones done by commentators, posters, coaches, et al) with some sort of objective prognosis for him. please dont hurt me on my maiden post
If Lebron were not in the league, I would predict McGrady winning the MVP in the next 3 years with the right players around him. He'll be a superstar again next year.
he was just saying i hope he didnt mean anything by only 3 years, he is signed till 2010 and he wants to retire in houston so he needs to have at least 6 more years, and why would we trade him in 3 years?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? if he plays that means he wasnt hurt and if he isnt hurt he is one of the best, hell at 70 % he is still one of the better players in the league
