Greene said he could play the 3 or 4. Just think of how many times our 4's had that open 10-15 ft shot and couldn't make the opposition pay for double teaming Yao. I thought Scola's game became much better after Yao got injured. Louis was allowed to work more in the paint and not forced to hit the open jumper. Greene's shooting ability may be better suited for playing with Yao. He will force the opposition to come out and guard him, thus giving Yao more room to work the low post.

I was impressed by him. He was well spoken and seemed to have a respect for the game unlike alot of these young cocky kids coming into the league these days! If Tmac takes him under his wing he might turn into a great player for us soon!

 

I think he interviews pretty well. In the work-out vids, he was calm and seemed well-mannered. But this one he definitely definitely seemed nervous.

well its better the "obviously" I guess...

He will have to show it in the summer league and in camp / practice if he wants to sniff the floor outside of garbage time. hopefully he can actually make an open jumper, that alone will get him minutes...

 

at least we know he can take direction, i'm sure his agent or whoever told him to say definitely once in a while to make the press think what they asked was important or right on the money........boy has a long way to go, i wouldnt expect even minor contributions until his 2nd or 3rd year.

 

He seems eager. Just hope he doesn't confuse contributing as the same as putting up the maximum # of jump shots he can in a game. Donte, my advice play hard on the defensive end and take it hard to the hole to prove yourself before you start jacking up those jumpers.

 

His play and Landry's contract will determine who we target on free-agency, so I hope he does well in the summer league. From the 610 interview it seems that he thinks he will be in the rotation.

And Yes, It is better than "obviously", lol.
