10 lbs nature weight is a lot difference tho. Andersen won't be as efficient as Murphy on the rebounding category, but there are ways to make up that.
Has he had any conversations with other players who have made the jump from Europe to the NBA and what advice have they given him? (Ahsan Currimbhoy. Sugar Land, TX)
Good stuff guys. He's scheduled to be here in studio in about an hour, so if there are any more questions get them in now.
As an Aussie living abroad, that would be the single most annoying question i constantly get asked. David Anderson would probably agree.
Welcome to Houston David, do you plan on being a being a high intensity, diving for balls, and never giving up on any given play guy, like our favorites, Yao,Shane,Scola,Hayes, and Brooks? That is the type of player that will forever have a Houstonians heart. Dustin in Clear Lake
You stand at a fork in the road. Next to each of the two forks, there stands a guard. You know the following things: 1. One path leads to Paradise, the other to Death. From where you stand, you cannot distinguish between the two paths. Worse, once you start down a path, you cannot turn back. 2. One of the two guards always tells the truth. The other guard always lies. Unfortunately, it is impossible for you to distinguish between the two guards. You have permission to ask one guard one question to ascertain which path leads to Paradise. Remember that you do not know which guard you're asking -- the truth-teller or the liar -- and that this single question determines whether you live or die. The question is: What one question asked of one guard guarantees that you are led onto the path to Paradise, regardless of which guard you happen to ask?
You should ask him why did he choose to compare himself with K.G and Dirk. 2 high level superstars in the NBA who proved what they can do at this level when he hasn't even played one single game. Comparing himself to those two are basically setting up for high expectations.
No. You can't leave it open ended, you have to ask more specifically. "Will the other guard tell me that your path leads to paradise?" would be the correct question. BTW I would ask him to feel free to assault people that are dumb enough to think he is slightly amused by questions stereotypical for Australians. I'm not Australian, but I've traveled enough to be sympathetic considering how hard it is for me to constantly fake amusement over Texan questions.
Interview went well. Andersen and his fiance are both good people. There will be a longer version of it posted here after it airs. Some of your questions were asked with a shout out to Clutch Fans. Thanks again.
Welcome to Houston, David. Have you asked Carl Landry how to survive being held up and shot at after a game? thanks, Texxx in River Oaks
Andersen said he played a similar style to KG and Dirk, and then went on to say they were his idols and he was obviously miles behind them. Relax guys, he doesn't think he's the next Michael Jordan.
