He seems to be an immature guy who is trying to make amends. He could fall to the 2nd round but I think NY will take him at 23. I get the feeling that the Rockets don't think much of him and will possibly trade the pick or get a safe college player with more experience.
from the vid, he does not look as stupid as Swift was Swift could not even get two sentences together this guy has a smooth shot, at least from what I see in those few seconds in the clip
I think we should draft Williams, then we should trade for Artest. What a team! Bonzi, Williams and Artest. The Rockets will instantly morph into the Houston Knuckleheads. You thought JVG was too boring. The Knuckleheads will be exactly the opposite. They will be entertaining, I'm just not sure the entertainment will occur on the court. New team logo--The Houston Rockets America's Portland Trailblazer for the 21st century. It's a win-win situation. The HPD will love it. Their arrest numbers will go up. The Houston Chronicle will love it. Look at all the national media attention they will ellicit writing about the Houston Knuckleheads. Les will love it. The stands will be filled with people looking for some exciting entertainment. And the NBA will love it. Look at all the technical foul money their slush fund will receive. We want to be number one. We'll lead the league in technical fouls and number of suspensions. Sounds like an exciting type of new Houston Rocket basketball. Let's do it
from face reading, Sean Williams is brighter than Eddie Griffin, Stromile Swift and JR Smith. His eyes look more focus. The only problem is to get his head straight. What a gamble!
Yes I agree and you could be a leader of the fan club. They could have a section just for you, like the red rowdies. Only they would call you the Nude Knuckleheads... Yeah you could stand their all alone with only a bag over your face and during intermission Clutch could run up in the stands to your section and whack your PeePee. I like it... the Nude Knucklehead... Let's Do It!
And then in 5 years we'll get an amazing GM who will get us 2 top 7 picks one year (Roy & Aldridge), and next superstar the next year (Oden).
I object to this bet on the grounds that if you lose we'll be out a very good poster for a month. I suggest a sig bet.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/prospects?rank_type=1 Enjoy, yikes on the Malick Badiane comparison above. He averaged 5 blocks a game before being dismissed and can put the ball in the basket with authority although probably not the best offensive game his defense looks solid.
What some dont realize is that getting a Stromile Swift type player with the 26th pick is in fact a great pick-up. Were not gonna find a superstar....
I went to BC. Williams is an animal! Obvioulsy, there's off-the-court concerns, but it's not like our pick is going to be one without question marks. It's far too late of a pick to expect that the guy we end up picking will be bullet-proof. You take the risk on the height, athleticism, and natural shot-blocking ability (oh yeah, he's one of the best I've seen in a long time). Also, he may be a bit of a head-case, but he's not stupid. He's a BC guy!
Vin Baker couldn't smarten up, or at least has not yet. Luke did. The kid is with Luke. Does that mean he'll get smarter now? Or is he a Baker-type? Presumably the team is doing their due diligence and will have a reasonable answer. The guy is, so I have told by a Boston scribe friend, a stud.
I think he has the desire to become a good player and is genuine when he said he wants to stop making mistakes. He wants help and appears somewhat afraid because he knows he could fall into bad habits again.
I'll be shocked if Sean Williams is there at #26 when the rockets are on the board. Without the problems he is easily a top 12 pick in this talent laden draft. Also I love Morey divulging the rockets game plan to the entire world if you actually believe him. In this time of the every GM is lying through there teeth.
I say we give Sean Williams a shot I think he will produce with our new offensive minded team but the way Morey is talking doesn't seem if we're looking for 4s at all in the draft
I only saw him play one game this past year, but it was enough to convince me that he is worth taking a shot on. I think he had something like 7 blocks, with many of them coming against our own 3 bpg player in Ekene Ibekwe, in dominating fashion. He's a rare talent.
