That tweet was before the Florida game.

Regardless, that tweet is inaccurate. Pretty sure he is counting Memphis as ranked (which they were at the time in which we beat them) but if that is the case then Alabama has quite a few (Texas A&M, Miss St, Georgia to add on to LSU, Wiscy).

Take Bama off that list and mention specifically at the time in which they played and it is true.

Yeah, Iowa and Ohio State have beaten f***-all for good teams so far, but Bama has that whole thing covered based on pure pre-season SEC hype.

It's still illegal, but less likely to get called. Easiest way to avoid a targeting call is to not target someone. Do a proper tackle with your arms and you'll be fine. If you're just trying to lay a bit hit on someone, then you risk a targeting penalty because you are, in fact, targeting someone.

How do you tackle someone's head with your arms?

When the person catching the punt is hunched forward and the tackler is coming at him directly in front (and not on the side), there is nothing else to hit. Should the tackler be required to slow down and lessen the force of the impact?

I think there should be some kind of exception when the receiver or punt returner hunches forward and presents their helmet as a bullseye.

Larry Fedora isn't going to sulk, but he does believe one thing. ACC officials got it wrong. Again.

Referees flagged North Carolina for offsides on an onside kick it recovered near the end of Saturday's ACC Championship Game between Clemson and the Tar Heels, a 45-37 Tigers' victory. UNC was clearly onside and should have taken over near midfield with a chance to tie the game, but offsides is not reviewable.

So who is your Heisman frontrunner?

Where at one point it looked like Fournette was going to be the runaway winner, he's somewhere between back of the pack and off the radar.

    Deshaun Watson
    Derrick Henry
    Christian McCaffrey
    Baker Mayfield
    Leonard Fournette
    Dalvin Cook
    Trevone Boykin
    Keenan Reynolds

Sounds like Derrick Henry is the consensus Heisman pick.

Can't argue with that. I'd say Christian McCaffrey and DeShaun Watson have better cases, but it's close.

The phones are ringing at Oregon State, Colorado, Rutgers and Maryland! Baylor calling!

...Baylor also investigating the potential to play Kansas twice next year as an alternative!

Baylor could play Colorado, but Colorado actually plays Colorado ST every year. Pac 12 already has 9 Conf games with a title game.

Okie St. and Kasas St. are in the same boat as Baylor when it comes to that.

Okie State didn't play anyone this year, but they opened with #1 Florida State last year. In the last several years, they've also played Arizona twice, #13 Georgia, and WashSt.

KState also had no one this year, but played #5 Auburn last year, and Miami (twice), UCLA (twice), and Louisville the last several years.

That's why Okie State was as fraud this year, and K State's slide was easy to see coming, but you are surely correct that Baylor is the only team scheduling only scrubinees every year.
