The big 12 scheduled great out of conference games but they lost them all. UCLA, Arkansas, Alabama, Florida St, Auburn. BYU would have been a great team if they wouldn't have lost their best player.

I think Meyer is the best coach in the country, thats why I got OhioSt. Could see it going either way though...

Regardless, don't see anybody beating Oregon.

    Okay, I'll play.

Alabama over Ohio State. Thanks for playing Ohio State.

    Oregon over Florida State. Drubbing.

    Oregon over Alabama.

    And Jim Ross is there.

And he says By Gawd! That's TCU's music.

    That's Baylors music!

Kick, wham, stunner, and Baylor and TCU slam cans of Lone Star beer.

Wait, this is TCU and Baylor? They slam cans of Dr Pepper.

Yeh they have looked real unstoppable struggling with Indiana and Michigan before Barrett went out.

Yes I do believe we would have a shot at Alabama. Our offense would give their defense fits. If you watched how Nick Marshall threw all over their secondary, imagine what Bryce Petty and Baylor's WRs would do to them. I'm not saying we would shut them down but it would be a shoot out that we would have a chance to win.

Alabama is licking their chops to be able to play a 3rd string QB and tOSU. Its going to be bad. Bama by at least 3 TDs.

I could get behind that. I can't get behind the Big 12 being left out. Nuts and bolts! Nuts and bolts! We. Got. ......

I still think a 24 team, five week playoff would be better.

I'll kinda go in depth monday evening, but it's basically SEC gets four teams in, Pac 12 gets four or three teams in, other conferences get 3 or 2 teams in, it all depends on how strong your conference is, and that's determined by how strong your conference has been the last four years. It gives minnows like Marshall in. They had a great season.

It will pay to play a strong out of conference schedule.

Think of it as champions league in europe if you're familiar with it.

What are these guys doing in december? Nothing. Class is basically over.

24 teams!? That's way to much IMO. I think this season showed us exactly how many there should be. Top 6 teams make it, top 2 seeds get a bye. Just like the NFL playoffs.

Meyer was the coach at Florida when Saban whipped Meyer and Tebow.

I think Mariotta is overrated and Winston is underrated.

I think Meyer got his share of wins in that series too... I don't know theeor head-to-head record, but of take Meyer over Saben. His track record almost as good and he doesn't always get the benefit of the doubt like Saben's teams do.

I agree, winston is underrated now. But Mariota is a bad boy!

Just saw Saben is 2-1 vs Meyer. I thought they had played each other more than that...

Regardless, I think OhioSt has the athletes to get out in space and beat Bama's defense to the edge. Also think they can take advantage of Saben's stubborn ass playing man coverage all game like he does. I think the have the athletes to contain Cooper. If they play a zone and make Sims beat them, I like their chances.

Bama and Florida are in two different divisions. They played each other in 08/ 09 in the SEC Championship game. Bama lost 08 and won in 09. Then they played each other during the regular season in 2010 and I think Bama shut them out.

    Ok my turn

    Bama over Ohio State (Big)
    Oregon over FSU (Big)

    Bama over Oregon

    Biased?

    Yes.

    And Ohio State played:

    Navy
    Virginia Tech
    and Kent State

They LOST to Virginia Tech...at home. Now that's flat out EMBARRASSING.

You can make these arguments round and round.

The Big 12 is a better conference top to bottom than the Big 10.

Baylor was 3-0 vs top 20 teams.

Ohio State was 2-0 vs top 20 teams.

    Baylor had the best win.

Ohio State had the worst loss

They were not going to put Baylor or TCU into this playoffs provided things were close enough to put a program like Ohio State in. If you're Baylor or TCU, you have to be decisively better than those schools to advance over them...not merely as good.

One more thought...if there were a conference championship game in the Big XII then there would be divisions...TCU and Baylor, in all likelihood, would be in the same division. If that's the case, the conference championship game would have been the same one you saw Saturday night when Baylor handled Kansas State.

One thing about conference championship games is that you don't play everyone. So it's more possible that K-State would have been undefeated in conference going in - one fewer game and a chance to avoid both TCU and K-State. While no difference in reality, it makes K-State a top-6 team in the playoff hunt instead of a #9 team.

It's the same that that Wisconsin looked better than they were by not having playing OSU or Michigan State in the regular season.

Big12 absolutely needs 12 teams and a championship game. It worked out this year that Baylor and K-State were good, and it still wasn't good enough. What if it was TCU vs ISU and Baylor vs Texas? The Big12 would have been completely ignored on championship weekend.

How can a past Heisman Trophy winner be underated?
