Off to a shaky start, Rook. 3 players used including your stud QB and only up 33-27 to Sam's 1 player. Blame it on Reggie Bush and his glass knee giving Pierre Thomas a chance to shine. You know, despite the rivalry and stuff, I'm actually pulling for you. It's got to be frustrating to play fantasy sports for so long and come so close multiple times, only to have victory snatched away at the last moment. It's sort of funny, in a tragic clown type of way. Also, your basketball team is going nowhere. You need this.
Rook needs 30 points out of Westbrook to win this ... a number he's exceeded the last 2 weeks. Should be an interesting MNF. Browns have a terrible D, so with my luck he'll go crazy.
Possible.....not Probable though.............it looks like my team once again good enough to get there, but tanks in the playoffs............. We could end up with a wildly veteran showdown between PSJ and Mr. Cassell.........may the best team win............
Just bad luck, Rook. Your guys collectively didn't show up, you didn't get that one big game. If it wasn't me, I was rooting for you to win it all. Now the big game, big matchup versus PSJ. Man, he's got a scary group of big time RBs and a big time receiver. Either way, win or lose, this is as far as I've gotten in the footy league!
Congrats Sammy, another 4 TD performance by DeAngelo Williams. wow. If you would have told at the start of this season the best RBs in fantasy football would include Thomas Jones, DeAngelo Williams and Matt Forte I probably would have bet you 1 million bucks you were full of ****. What an odd year. You deserve the title though, your team was solid all around. Kudos to the Aliens.
Congrats, Sammy. Enjoy your title. I'm looking over your draft. You were the only team to go WR-WR with the first 2 picks (Wayne and Moss). McGahee and Maroney (3rd & 4th round) were busts but Jay Cutler and Deangelo Williams (8th and 9th round) were wonderful picks. Those two selections more than anything else probably won you the league. Also, Steve Slaton in the 19th round showed excellent foresight and grabbing Pierre Thomas off waivers was a very fortunate move. He was on my roster at one point and like moe, I now regret cutting him. Overall, a season well played. I can only take solace in the fact that I kicked your butt in basketball this week even despite having Dwight Howard on the bench and Danny Granger in the hospital with the flu. Grats.
Awesome! Deangelo with another huge day when it was needed most. I feel lucky to have had as unlikely a trio of backs turn out to be fantasy studs. And avoiding drafting Addai in the first round worked out, too. Was a fun season, as always. Thanks again to Rook for running the show. Finally a footy title to add to my 2 baseball wins.
Sam, Congrats on a great season, you whooped my behind in the process, so well deserved. Your RB's really did come through for you, however next season I am getting my revenge and taking you and that little Fade down, once and for all. Ohh, who am I kidding, I will end up choking again........that's my game, all talk, no action. Anyways, great job this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!
