I will do reminders as we get closer. I should have room for even a large group as I can move furniture around pretty easily. I have some friends with tables, but bringing folding chairs will be necessary.
It looks like it will be a pretty large tourney, but we will start at 1 p.m. and accelerate the blinds fairly aggressively (I will mirror the blind structure they use on most of the online sites, even 1250 people tourneys end in 4-5 hours) so it should be over by 6. Usually, a cash game starts up once enough people bust out of the tourney and that can continue until 11-12. Midnight is pumpkin time and everyone will politely be asked to leave by then.
Anyone who wants a reminder email should send an email to my moniker at gmail dot com. Please include your moniker so that I know who I am talking to.
Stakes will be $25. Rules are no-limit Hold-em, everyone starts with $1500 in chips and we play until there is a winner. I listed the payout structure earlier in the thread.
There is a good wall for projecting on if we hang a sheet and it is directly across the room from the source (satellite).
Just realize that I go all in on every hand, and I typically toss the entire table when I lose. Man, I love playing poker. Been a while since people have wanted to play with me.
I just realized this is the first day of the Texas Ren Fest. We always go the first weekend so this may put a serious cramp in my desire to play poker once my kids find out it's the same day all of their friends are going to the festival.
Wow, I'm just seeing this thread for the first time, I'd like to play as well, I will email andymoon if that is the proper thing to do.
I’m assuming is 8 people per table? I know a couple of people who like to do 10, so I thought I’d double check.
I don't think I have any tables that would be good for 10 people. We will play 8-9 per table depending on how many people and tables we have.
