Even more incredible is how we have yet to even TRY to get a young center to someday supplant or young PF/C to maybe someday support Yao Ming. It's as if it's "Yao or nothing" as our center philosophy when we undoubtedly have other options out on the market be it through trades of ancillary or duplicate players or through the draft.

We are going to get crushed, CRUSHED, in the paint. All this shiny, glitzy, high ppg crap means nothing to me. I know all too well that with no one patrolling the paint we're doomed. And it won't be McG's fault (though I'm positive that'll be claimed by many here) or Brooks v Lowry's fault (though you'll much debate on who gives us a better PG effort) or Scola v Landry's fault (though you're bound to hear how they both can't be on the court at the same time) or any other argument which ignores the elephant in the room. For all the "boy genius" gloss and "in Morey trust" and "best GM" accolodaes I've heard tossed around about Morey, I am astounded that he has chosen this route.

Verse, u can't understand or maybe u do of how asinine the emptiness of the center spot the rockets have. I mean we know they won't win it this yr, that's a given, but at least give your team and coach a fighting chance. I mean between dallas,la,sa,cleveland, port, utah, denver, orlando and boston, I see 21 losses just on not being able to compete. We are overloaded at the wing and 4 spot, yet nothng is moving.

I alwways say either ur in it to win it or now. The rox are headed towrd a mediocre season and be just good enough not to get a high pick.

A PF/C with enough talent to supplant Yao, eh? I guess Morey must hate them or something. After all, I'm sure they're in such abundance. Surely we can easily get a true starting center. I mean, how hard can it be? SA has one. Orlando has one. Yao was one. Sure, it took #1 overall pick to get these players. But #1 overall picks aren't big deals right? I'm sure Morey could just just trade for one easily if he felt like it.
