Maybe a robertson for bradley would work? The astros should trade him while he stock is high(15 wins).
The Willie Taveras kid we got from the Rule 5 draft has tons of speed. 57 SBs in 69 attempts in A ball with great CF range. The only problem is, he really isn't ready. If we could send one of our pitchers to Cleveland for him, we could send him to AA where he belongs. Otherwise, according to Rule 5 draft rules, he has to stay on our major league roster all year stinting his development.

Why would we give up Tim Redding for a leadoff hitter with a .266 average and a .302 OBP?? Granted, he's realatively young still, but mediocre pitcher (career record wise) is much better than mediocre hitter, imo.

To his credit, Bradley moved to Cleveland this offseason and did what the club says was more community service than any other player.... Bradley has a history of transgressions on and off the field, and this one may lead the Indians to cut ties with him. He signed a one-year $1.73 million contract in November. Bradley didn't comment before leaving in a cab before Wednesday's game ended, but he said through the team he had a tight groin. He was pulled from a game last season for failing to run out a ball. He also angered some opponents by showboating. Bradley had been a model citizen all spring, promising he had changed and would not be a distraction. Man, I hope Gerry still has the Indians on speed dial. I would trade Hidalgo for Bradley in a second. Save some salary and get an atleast equally talented ballplayer in return; I'm there.
I wouldn't trade Hidalgo for him, that's giving up too much. They want him out of there, so you can probably get him for cheaper.
Hidalgo signed a 5-year, $45 million contract. His contract includes a $2 million signing bonus, payable in four equal payments on 1/15/01, 4/1/01, 1/15/02, and 1/15/03. Hidalgo will earn $3 million in 2001, $5 million in 2002, $8 million in 2003, and $12 million in 2004. The final season of the deal, 2005, is a club option worth $15 million with a $2 million buyout if it is not exercised. In addition, the contract allows for up to an additional $2 million if Hidalgo wins certain awards. Compare that with Bradley's slotted salary of $1.73M and I would consider it.
